Here's Pravin's journey in his own words: I landed my first IT job as a Cloud Engineer Hey everyone, I always wanted to be into the IT industry but had to take different paths for my initial career. I started my career as a Customer Support Executive and then into Help Desk Support followed by Technical Support Executive roles. All these roles were into non-IT industry and it was my DREAM to be into tech industry as a Software Engineer. I had no one to guide me or help me on what path to choose to transition my career from non-IT to IT. I decided to quit my job and started learning programming. Unfortunately it was the time when the job tech market was messed up, everywhere we were seeing layoffs happening. During this time I learned the fundamentals and explored different fields into tech industry. I started with DSA in Java then the basics of Web development and then I discovered about DevOps Engineering and Cloud Engineering. I started learning about DevOps Tools, Cloud Platforms and at the same time I was attending tech events and meetups. I gained very valuable connections through meetups and made some really good friends as well. This is when a friend of mine (whom I met in a tech community) referred me for a DevOps Engineering role at startup. I got selected and joined immediately. It was my first job into IT as a DevOps Engineer, I achieved my goal. But, it was a startup with no proper process, founders did not know how tech works and our CTO was not available most of the time. And the biggest catch was that we were not getting paid as the startup did get not any investment. It was a startup of 20 members and we did work hard day and night but because of our founder our startup was never successful. I did work there for 6 months with zero pay. and finally I quit that job.
