Hi I’m Alex! I am mom to 4 boys (7, 5, 2 and 4 months!) and have been homeschooling from the beginning. My oldest son has AuDHD (autism bit is more recently diagnosed) and is in grade 2. I struggle with how to engage him in tasks he doesn’t prefer (writing in particular). Overall he loves school which is why it isn’t “harder” for us hahaha but he loves to read and do math so there generally isn’t too much push back. But writing is tough. He just has it in his mind that he hates it….more particularly he hates doing it “properly” AKA spelling, proper lowercase letters etc. He writes fine when it’s a comic book he is making or playing Mad Libs… but in organized work it’s a major battle. Would love to hear any tips or advice if you have similar experience!
