Call centers
I wanted to ask the group another question. Do you guys use a call center for inbound leads? I was thinking of something like Pat Live or Reception 24/7 to answer the phones to book the assessment. I know that no one can sell the assessment as well as me right now but curious if you guys have seen any results or best practices. Thanks

Haven’t used. I have a plumber that use a service like this, and he really likes it.
This is officially my first week going 'live'.
This is my first 'official' first week. I spent $112 on Thumbtack. Finished two jobs and gross $650 so far. I have another bigger job tomorrow with the same home owner as today. This is going to gross $1050 for the week. I know I am probably not the most expensive guy out there but I know I am not the cheapest. I want to be fair and push Google reviews. My goal for next month is to be $2,000 gross per week. Question for the group. How are you guys calculating your hours? do you include travel time? I am trying to document early so I can have SOPs done for when I grow a little bit. Thank you to everyone in this community. I love you all and want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and let's get this in 2025. Y'all are great. Be blessed.

I price each job individually and don’t really count my “hours”, although I do calculate in my head how much time it ought to take and I have a figure in my mind of what I want to average per hr. I figure, if make a min of $90 per hr, I’m doing “ok”, but my goal is to be at $150-$200 per hour on hauling. As far as travel, I factor distance into my pricing. Example, if I’m driving 25 miles one way, I figure at least $50 for time and fuel. Anything under 15 miles I don’t really bother. That being said, my average daily mileage is 110 miles.

$285 top end, $225 low end
Today was part service and part profit.
80 yr old guy who is a friend of my father, who is down on his luck was booted out of his storage space. We cleaned it out for him, filled up our 15 yrd trailer and a 20 ft moving truck. Left him a dumpster at his place so as he goes through the contents of the truck, he can toss more. Free of charge. Then swapped out two other dumpsters on separate sites.
