Saturday, June 27. GOD is still speaking. (Daily Devotional and Prayers from MASTER SPEAK THY SERVANT HEARS by AL ADELUWOYE). June 27 “A sound heart is life to the body, But envy is rottenness to the bones.” (Proverbs 14:30 NKJV) My child, envy can be very harmful. It doesn’t just hurt your body, mind, and spirit—it also damages your relationships with others and your relationship with Me, and robs you of joy. It’s like a poison that eats away at you. Instead of letting envy take over, pray for others and thank Me for their blessings. This helps you grow in love and humility, and it reminds you that if I blessed them, I can bless you too, in My own time and way. Celebrate other people’s successes with a happy and genuine heart. Also, be mindful of what you expose yourself to. Too much social media can make you feel like everyone else is doing better than you, even when that’s not the whole truth. Limit those triggers and focus on the path I’ve set for you. Peace be with you. See: (Job 5:2 and Proverbs 17:22) Pray for your heart’s desire to your Heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, and include the following prayer points: · Lord, guard my heart against envy. Help me to recognize its harmful effects on my body, mind, spirit, and relationships. · Father, I thank You for all the blessings in my life. Teach me to focus on what I have rather than comparing myself to others. · Father, remind me that You have a unique plan for my life. Help me trust in Your timing and believe that You have good things in store for me too. · Lord, give me a joyful heart to celebrate the success of others without resentment or comparison. · Father, give me the wisdom to recognize and avoid triggers like excessive social media that encourage comparison and discontentment. · Lord, help me to stay focused on the path You have set for me.
