"از: بشپ ٹی۔ ڈی۔ جیکس" خدمتِ خداوند کا راستہ آسان نہیں ہوتا؛ اس میں قربانی، صبر، ایمان اور ثابت قدمی کی ضرورت ہوتی ہے۔ کئی مرتبہ آپ کو اپنے خاندان کی ضروریات کے لیے رکھا ہوا پیسہ بھی کلیسیائی خدمت پر خرچ کرنا پڑے گا۔ آپ ایسی مالی ذمہ داریاں بھی قبول کریں گے جنہیں پورا کرنے کے لیے وسائل کہاں سے آئیں گے، یہ آپ کو خود بھی معلوم نہیں ہوگا۔ آپ کو اپنی کلیسیا کی خدمت کے لیے اپنے خاندان کے ساتھ گزارنے والا قیمتی وقت قربان کرنا پڑے گا۔ آپ کو دوسروں کو یہ امید دلانی ہوگی کہ خدا اُن کے حالات بدل دے گا، جبکہ آپ خود آزمائشوں سے گزر رہے ہوں گے۔ آپ کو لوگوں کو یہ پیغام دینا ہوگا کہ خدا اُن کے مسائل حل کرے گا، حالانکہ آپ خود اپنے مسائل کے حل کے منتظر ہوں گے۔ جن لوگوں کی آپ نے مدد کی ہوگی، انہی میں سے بعض آپ کے ساتھ بےوفائی کریں گے۔ وہ لوگ بھی آپ کا ساتھ چھوڑ دیں گے جنہوں نے کبھی آپ کو نہ چھوڑنے کے وعدے کیے تھے۔ بعض لوگ دوسروں کی باتوں سے متاثر ہو کر آپ کی بےعزتی کرنے لگیں گے۔ کچھ لوگ آپ کے سامنے انتہائی احترام سے پیش آئیں گے اور آپ کو "روحانی باپ" کہیں گے، لیکن آپ کی غیر موجودگی میں آپ کی تحقیر کریں گے۔ بعض لوگ آپ کے واعظوں کو غلط سمجھیں گے اور یہ گمان کریں گے کہ آپ نے خاص طور پر انہیں نشانہ بنایا ہے۔ آپ اپنی اہلیہ اور اپنے خاندان کی بےادبی بھی دیکھیں گے۔ بعض لوگ آپ کی مالی حالت پر سوال اٹھائیں گے اور آپ پر یہ الزام لگائیں گے کہ آپ خدا کی راہ سے ہٹ گئے ہیں۔ جب کچھ لوگ کلیسیا چھوڑ کر جائیں گے تو وہ آپ کے خلاف جھوٹی کہانیاں اور بےبنیاد الزامات پھیلائیں گے۔ جن لوگوں کو آپ نے خدمت کے مواقع فراہم کیے ہوں گے، انہی میں سے بعض خدا کی دی ہوئی رویا (Vision) کی مخالفت کریں گے۔ جنہیں آپ نے تربیت دی ہوگی، وہی بعض اوقات اجلاسوں میں آپ کی مخالفت کریں گے۔ جنہیں آپ نے منادی کرنا سکھایا ہوگا، وہ بعد میں اپنا موازنہ آپ سے کرنے لگیں گے۔ کچھ لوگ یہ سمجھنے لگیں گے کہ آپ اپنی سمت کھو چکے ہیں اور اب خدمت پر پوری توجہ نہیں رکھتے۔ بعض لوگ خود کو آپ سے زیادہ روحانی اور زیادہ علم رکھنے والا سمجھیں گے۔ کچھ لوگ آپ کی شہرت اور کردار کو نقصان پہنچا کر دوسروں کو آپ کے خلاف کرنے کی کوشش کریں گے۔ بعض لوگ آپ کے احسانات کو بھلا دیں گے اور اُن مواقع کا اعتراف بھی نہیں کریں گے جو آپ نے انہیں فراہم کیے تھے۔ کچھ لوگ کلیسیا میں تقسیم اور انتشار پیدا کرنے کی کوشش کریں گے۔

You will have to use money meant for your family's needs to invest in the church ministry. You will take on financial responsibilities even without knowing where the money to fulfill them will come from. You will give up time that you should have spent with your family in order to serve the church. You will need the strength to preach to others that they will be fine, even when you yourself are going through hard times. You will need to preach that God will solve people's problems, even while you are still waiting for a solution to your own problems. You will be betrayed by the very people you helped. You will be abandoned by people who promised they would never leave you. You will see people disrespecting you because they have been influenced by the words of others. You will see people who pretend to respect you to your face, calling you "Father," but despising you behind your back. Some people will misinterpret your sermons, thinking they were directly targeting them. You will see people disrespecting your wife and your family. You will see people questioning the source of your wealth and accusing you of leaving the ways of God. When some people leave the church, they will make up false stories about you. Some people whom you gave opportunities to serve will oppose the vision God gave you. Some people you trained will want to oppose you even in meetings. Some people you taught how to preach will later start comparing themselves to you. Some people will think you have lost your direction and are no longer focused on the ministry. Some people will believe they are more spiritual and knowledgeable than you. Some people will try to turn others against you by ruining your reputation and character. Others will be ungrateful and will not acknowledge the opportunities you gave them. Some people will try to divide the church. Some people will despise you, cause conflicts and chaos, but later portray themselves as the victims while making you look like the one in the wrong.
