McGregord Fund Due 2/22/26
We’re excited to announce a new funding opportunity for Detroit organizations working on the frontlines of food access! Thanks to the generous support of The McGregor Fund, CDAD is launching a Mini-Grant Opportunity for Emergency Food Assistance to support innovative, community-rooted responses to food insecurity across Detroit neighborhoods. As rising food costs and economic instability continue to impact residents, trusted neighborhood organizations continue to step in with food distribution, gift cards, community meals, partnerships with local farms, and other creative solutions. This mini-grant is designed to strengthen and expand that work. Grant Amount Awards between $5,000–$7,500 Funds must support innovative emergency food security efforts Projects should serve at least 25 residents Deadline to Apply February 22 Who Should Apply? Nonprofit organizations Grassroots and resident-led groups Community-based organizations Faith-based organizations providing food support We are especially interested in proposals that are responsive, community-centered, and ready to launch quickly. Eligible Projects May Include: Emergency food distribution or pop-up pantries Partnerships with local farms or food producers Food gift cards or vouchers Free or subsidized community meals Mobile or neighborhood-based food access solutions If your organization is working to ensure Detroit residents have access to food during times of heightened need, we encourage you to apply. Learn more about the guidelines and apply here: https://forms.office.com/r/bX9J7Mh3CE We’re proud to partner with The McGregor Fund to strengthen Detroit’s neighborhood safety net and support the organizations doing critical work every day.
