Welcome to the community
Let’s connect!
Hi everyone, I’m Michael, and I’m excited to be part of this community. I bring more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry as an electrician, having contributed to the successful execution of complex electrical, transportation, and infrastructure projects throughout New York City. Over the course of my career, I’ve progressed through roles as a Journeyman Electrician, Foreman, and Construction Site Safety Professional, developing a leadership style centered on accountability, operational excellence, team performance, and delivering results. I’m passionate about continuous growth and am currently focused on transitioning into Project Management and Construction Leadership, where I can leverage my field experience, safety expertise, and operational knowledge to lead projects at a higher strategic level. I look forward to learning from this community, sharing experiences, and connecting with other professionals who are committed to growth, leadership, and excellence in the construction industry.

New CA
Hi guys, great to join this group with like minded people. I landed a new job as a contract admin with 3 years of experience of cadetship/general admin. My first month I am finding it overwhelming. I love it dont get me wrong, but my building knowledge sucks lol. I wish I know what to look out in inclusions and exclustions, building applications, estimating etc. Thats me for now, let me know if anyone has any advice.

@Sameer Khandaker welcome to the group! I totally get what you mean, I remember feeling the same way in my first few months. There’s a lot to take in with building applications, inclusions/exclusions, and estimating. One thing that helped me was focusing on the key parts of each document first and asking questions as I went along. You’ll pick up the rest naturally with time. Keep at it, you’ll get the hang of it faster than you think! What kind of projects are you working on right now?
If your pipeline is empty this month, it’s not the market. Let’s talk
Contractors, I’ve been seeing a lot of posts lately about “slow months” and “no leads.” Here’s the truth: it’s rarely about the market. The jobs are out there, but the way you’re finding, pitching, and closing them might be the problem. - Are you relying on the same old sources every month? - Are potential clients slipping through the cracks because of your follow-up system? - Or maybe you’re undervaluing your services without even realizing it? The good news: small tweaks can fill your pipeline FAST. From outreach strategies to systems that attract clients automatically, there are ways to make this month your best yet. Drop a comment if your pipeline is empty this month, let’s identify the real bottleneck together. I’ll share actionable steps that have helped contractors like you turn “slow months” into booked-out schedules.
New month. Same crew. Different results, what are you fixing first?
Let’s keep it real…Most contractors don’t have a work problem, they have a system problem. Same team. Same tools. Same hours. But somehow… same stress, same cash flow issues, same last-minute chaos. So what’s actually changing this month? Are you - Fixing how you price your jobs so you stop leaving money on the table? - Tightening your process so projects don’t drag longer than they should? - Getting serious about consistent leads instead of relying on referrals only? - Or finally putting structure in place so your business doesn’t rely on you 24/7? This is where people in Construction Contractors Hub separate themselves, Not by working harder… but by working smarter and sharing what actually works. No fluff here. Just real contractors, real lessons, real growth. Drop ONE thing you’re fixing this month Let’s hold each other accountable and actually level up.
