AUD CPI
CPI just misses, consensus of 4.8, actual comes out at 4.6. Yes it's a miss so the algo selling is real. BUT inflation has jumped 1% in a quarter. The RBA wont be looking at 0.2% shy of consensus thinking inflation is under control here. They will be thinking, yes this confirms we need to hike in May. Algos react on data not on the full picture, the full picture is very clear, institutions won't be selling AUD after a 0.2% miss. More likely they will buy the pull back. Poly market still pricing an 85% chance of a hike in May down 2% from yesterday's post but generally no change here. The masses are still expecting a hike and I have to agree. We broke out above the range last night and now we're just testing the top of that range which is perfect technicals. As long as price holds above the range there's no reason why this trade won't hit through the rest of this week to the start of next. Any questions please drop them below!

IMPORTANT
Live calls will be moving to 7am UK time from next week. Tonight it will remain at 5pm UK time but from next week we will be moving to 7am UK time. Reason being I work from 7am BKK time and I’m absolutely shattered by 23:00 when I do the live calls so for everyone’s benefit it will be moved. I will have more energy which will make it more engaging, less rushed and an all round better experience. Hopefully this will allow the UK audience to join the call before work which also should be better fitting. If you’re unhappy about this please leave a comment below and I’ll do my best to make the majority happy. As this is a global network we have people form Australia and the UK so the two ends of the world so doing my best to make it a time that suits all.

Todays market recap
Selling continues. Second day of red across the board. S&P 500: -0.5% | Nasdaq: -0.9% | Dow: -0.85% | Russell 2000: -1.3% Oil still above $100 Trump delayed strikes on Iran but rejected their peace framework. Stalemate continues. Brent crude around $110. As long as oil stays here, inflation stays sticky. Tech selling off Nasdaq leading the losses for a second day. Memory chip stocks hammered after Seagate's CEO flagged supply concerns in the AI buildout. All eyes on Nvidia earnings TOMORROW after close — that's the next major catalyst. Bottom line: Record highs, AI euphoria, and easy money got a reality check this week. Oil above $100, yields at multi-year highs, rate cuts off the table. Fundamentals matter more than ever in this environment. What are you watching heading into Nvidia earnings? Drop your thoughts below.
