Summer: Where Calendars Go to Die
Summer is a few weeks away, and I want to name something before it hits, because it throws more of you off than you'd expect. Fall, winter, spring — you had structure. School schedules, routines, the rhythm of the week. Then summer arrives and the scaffolding disappears. Kids are home, travel scatters the week, the routine you leaned on is just… gone. And a lot of people quietly panic — they want to look and feel their best, but they're suddenly trying to hold it all together without the framework that was doing half the work for them. If that's you, you're not undisciplined. You lost your structure, and structure was doing more than you realized. So this is the week to build the summer version before you need it — not the rigid one, the flexible one. What's the one anchor that travels with you no matter where the day goes? We'll talk tomorrow about how preparation is the thing that actually lowers the stress. What part of summer are you most worried will throw you off? Tell me — I want to help you build around it.

I'll start. 🙋‍♀️ One thing I always have to be mindful of during the summer is consistency vs. intensity. I keep my regular gym schedule, but because the weather is finally nice, I tend to add more on top of it—extra walks, runs, bike rides, yard work, outdoor projects, you name it. The problem? More isn't always better. For me, that can quickly turn into overtraining, feeling run down, and sometimes even injuries. What works best for me is intentionally building recovery and self-care into my outdoor time. That might mean long walks with friends, family, and my fur babies 🐾, practicing grounding in the morning with my coffee, sitting outside in the sunshine, or simply moving my body without turning everything into a workout. Yes, I'll still do the occasional run, but it's usually a slower, more enjoyable tempo run rather than trying to set a personal record every week. Summer doesn't have to be all-or-nothing. Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is enjoy the season without feeling like every activity needs to burn calories. ☀️
Monday Eve-New Group Name-This is a long one!
It's Sunday, and this feels like the right day to start something — quieter, a little reflective, the day before everything begins again. You may have noticed a new name and over the next few weeks you will see a lot of new faces and content. So let me tell you what this place is. She's Not Done is for the woman who's done being dismissed. Who's been told her labs are "fine" while she feels anything but. Who's done everything "right" and watched it stop working somewhere after 40, and been handed willpower as the answer when the real issue was never willpower at all. If that's you — you're home. This isn't a place I'm going to post at you and disappear. I'm going to show up here every day. Some days it'll be a hard truth about metabolism or hormones or muscle. Some days it'll be a reframe that changes how you see your own body. Some days it'll just be me asking how you're doing and meaning it. The point isn't a feed of content. It's a room full of women who refuse to accept "that's just your age" — and a practitioner in that room with them. Here's what I want you excited about, because I am: Our Yellowbirdite Wellness Clinical Team is rolling out HRT & TRT support and the ability to order your own lab work — which means you stop waiting for permission to understand your own body. Even though we mainly focus on Women's health the TRT prescribing and support was a request by my female clients! I'll let you guess why 😉 💪And for my OrangeTheory members in the group, we're heading into the Season of Strength — eight weeks of building something you can actually keep. Whatever your workout is, summer's coming, and we'll walk into it prepared instead of panicked — together. But mostly, I want you to know the door is open and the conversation is real. Tell me one thing below: what made you join? What are you hoping to finally figure out? I read every single one — and it's the best possible way to start this week. Let's go. We're just getting started.

Every Promise You Break to Yourself Has a Cost
Here's something I wish more people understood about why they "can't stick to anything. 👉 It's not discipline. It's trust. Every day we get bombarded by emotions—stress, cravings, the 9 PM "I deserve this," the Monday guilt. Whether you succeed or not has almost nothing to do with willpower and everything to do with the strategy you've built for those moments. And underneath the strategy is something quieter: 💭 How much you trust yourself. Self-trust is a muscle. Every time you say you'll do something small and then actually do it, you earn a little back. ✅ Do it once. ✅ Do it again. ✅ Do it again. It compounds, exactly like training does, until one day the thing you had to force becomes the thing you just are. But it works the other way too. Every broken promise to yourself makes a withdrawal from that account. So stop trying to overhaul your life by Friday. 🎯 Pick one promise so small you can't fail it, and keep it. Maybe it's:• Drinking your water• Taking a 10-minute walk• Eating protein at breakfast• Going to bed 15 minutes earlier You're not just building a habit. You're rebuilding the belief that you're someone who keeps her word to herself. If you want to go a bit deeper into topics like this join our Newsletter. No cost to you. We do the research. You gain the knowledge. JOIN HERE 💛 What's one tiny promise you could keep every day this week? Drop it below. Saying it out loud is the first rep.

Roll call: What's your training, and what's the summer plan?
It's Monday, and there's a lot of good momentum to point at this week. Over at OrangeTheory we're kicking off the Season of Strength — eight weeks with your coach, and the whole point isn't to go scorched-earth for eight weeks. It's to build something you can actually keep. That word — keep — is the entire game, especially heading into summer. If you are not an OTF member let us know what you are doing and what your summer programming will be! And I've been holding back some excitement I get to finally share: we're rolling out HRT support and the ability to order your own lab work. For so many of you who've been told "your labs are fine" while you feel anything but, this is the door opening. More on that this week. For today, one intention: pick the thing you can be consistent with for eight weeks, not the thing you can be intense with for eight days. Tell me what you're choosing below.

I will start. I am focusing on "out of studio" movement so that is long walks with the dog with my weighted vest, gardening and decluttering my house!
It's The Weekend! 🍟
Stay on the rails this weekend! It's Saturday, and you know what that means. The weekend is where most people struggle and wipe out five days of clean eating with two "screw it" days. Actively work on not being like most people. If you make a blooper on a meal, practice jumping right back on track with the very next one. One off meal isn't a failure — it's just one meal. The damage happens when one becomes the whole weekend. If you want to get serious about it, plan your meals the night before and draw a hard line in the sand on anything other than what you planned. A hard no on anything that isn't already logged in your tracking app. This is exactly how you protect your protein targets and keep your body recomposition moving — results don't come from being perfect Monday through Friday and abandoning the plan on Saturday. They come from consistency when life isn't controlled. I know you can do this. Don't let the old habits get the best of you this weekend. You get the best of them this time. Have an awesome, happy, and HEALTHY weekend. 🙂
