Security Deposit Insurance
I have a potential renter coming through a relocation service who has asked if we would be willing to waive the traditional security deposit in exchange for security deposit insurance. They also mentioned that they would cover the cost of the insurance if we agree to waive the deposit. Has anyone had experience with this? Is it a good idea for landlords? I’d appreciate any advice or insights. Thanks!

@Kellie Davenport Thank you so much for all the advice! ❤️ The relocation company is Haven Living. They’re offering to cover the security deposit insurance up to $3,500, and my current security deposit is $1,000. I really appreciate you sharing your experience and suggestions!

@Rod and Adrienne Earl I was asking $5900, but since we’re new on Airbnb with no reviews yet and the guest wanted a lower price, we negotiated and reached an agreement.

Listing platform
Hi everyone, I listed my property to all the MTR listing platforms. Also sent emails to the email only platforms, but have not heard back. Has anyone had any any experience with this? Is it typical to hear back? I'm also wondering if I should keep emailing them every month or so or is it a bad idea ?
