The Quick Start Film Guide is NOW Live in the Classroom!
ALL CURRENT LEVEL 6 MEMBERS. Thank you so much to @Kayla C for her assistance in the creation of the QS Guide! I'll put together some videos. And I think I'll just leave it on Canva for now. This way, I can update it as I go. Look for links to The Full Course soon. I worked on them both simultaneously. If you have any questions, let me know. I still have a couple of videos to load, but this should get the ball rolling for all of you.

The Velveteen Rabbit - šŸŒ™šŸ‡āœØ
The Velveteen Rabbit - šŸŒ™šŸ‡āœØ We didn’t just create images. We created moments that remember us. As you move through these frames—a whisper, a silence, a reply, a shared heartbeat, a becoming—pause with each one. šŸ”¹ In the first image, when the boy leans close and speaks softly—was it the first voice that made the rabbit feel real to you?Or was it the belief behind the words? šŸ”¹ In the quiet of the second, when no one is speaking—did the stillness say more than sound ever could? What did the silence give the rabbit… and you? šŸ”¹ In the third moment, where time has worn them both—what do you see that has been gently used by love? What did the boy and the rabbit lose—and gain—together? šŸ”¹ When the rabbit begins to listen back, what did you feel change?Did the story stop being told—and start being shared? šŸ”¹ And in the final light, where love has done its work—if the rabbit became real through love, what did that love make you? Take your time.Share the image that stayed with you the longest.Tell us which moment whispered something back. Because some stories aren’t remembered by their ending—but by the feeling they leave behind. šŸ‡āœØ

Yes, And… Story Train (24-Hour Build)
The Game šŸ‘€READ ENTIRE POSTšŸ‘€ Build a story together over 24 hours. One sentence at a time. Pure creative chaos. START: Sunday 7:30 AM Nick will post the story starter. Then you’re off! The Rules 1. Add ONE sentence when you’re ready 2. NO BACK-TO-BACK - Someone else must go between your posts 3. Every sentence needs CHARACTER + ACTION - Someone must be doing something- vague sentences will be deleted 4. Make sense with the story - Connect logically to what came before 5. Start with ā€œYes, andā€¦ā€ (optional after you get the rhythm) 6. Read the last 3-5 sentences before adding yours 7. No edits once posted - typos are part of the charm - edited posts will be deleted - 8. Build forward, never contradict šŸ˜Good Examples āœ“ ā€œYes, and David ran to the laundromat wearing wet clothes.ā€āœ“ ā€œYes, and he smelled of beer, not just water, which made the attendant step back.ā€āœ“ ā€œYes, and Marcus grabbed the bird before it could escape, feeling its metal wings whir against his palms.ā€Over time, the ā€œYes and ā€œ won’t be needed as the rythym of the story unfolds. 😩Bad Examples āœ— ā€œThe weather was nice.ā€ (No character, no action)āœ— ā€œIt reminded him of his childhood.ā€ (Too vague, no action)āœ— ā€œThere was a feeling of unease.ā€ (No character doing anything)āœ— Posting twice in a row (wait for someone else!) Tips When you check in: āˆ™ Read everything from the beginning āˆ™ Notice what’s missing (emotion? consequence? sensory detail?) āˆ™ Add what the story needs Keep momentum: āˆ™ Someone doing something āˆ™ End with energy for the next person āˆ™ Build on what came 3 sentences ago, not just the last one Stay playful: āˆ™ Weird is good āˆ™ Trust others will catch what you throw After Monday 7:30 AM Nick will declare the ending of the story! Story’s done! Post : āˆ™ What surprised you? āˆ™ Whose contribution changed everything? āˆ™ What story elements appeared naturally? āˆ™ What should we title this thing? Ready? Nick posts the starter at 7:30 AM Sunday. Let chaos begin.

As her grandmother’s words echoed, the doorway split into three reflections revealing Maya as she was, Maya as she could be, and another ushering her beyond a crimson red door with a matching key glowing in her palm.
