Alright my brains fried, what is wrong with my baby? Id attach the reference photo but its on my school laptop and i dont have the energy to fight it right now
@Xavier Greenway I see, well I do have a ton of animal art hacks, even one specifically on paws! Hopefully those videos can explain some things and can help you if you want to either revisit or redraw this character!
@Kenzie Alexander thanks for sharing! I think @Joshua Grube makes a great point about breaking up the hair into more manageable pieces. The 3/4 view is definitely tricky, so well done tackling it! The only anatomy thing I see that sticks out is, the ear is a little too high up, lowering it would match the angle of the rest of the head. Other than that, well done!
First-time post. I love seeing everyone else's work, so I thought I'd share what I've been working on during my daily train commute. This is me and my Pokémon team 'falling'. I'm going to start adding some shading and highlights now. Any feedback would be appreciated! Also, does anyone have tips for moving from pencil and paper to iPad?
@Josh Dunstab thanks for sharing your work with everyone here! I’m excited to see what it looks like when you are finished with it! As far as going from pencil to iPad, it’s definitely going to be a learning curve, so give yourself a little grace as you get used to it, cause it’s definitely different when you aren’t touching the physical art, and have a fixed pen tip is different since with pencils you can always sharpen for fine lines!
Do your panels ever feel flat, and lacking the impact you really want? Have you considered the balance of your composition? FYI; this is a snippet or sneak peak if you will of a small portion of what is covered in the 90-Day Comic Creator course 😉 More art and story hacks can be found in the classroom
