I have a huge amount of ‘everything but the bagel’ spice in my pantry, I wondered if I mixed it with my bread crumbs and dredged my chicken in it to make schnitzel - how might that be AMAZING?!? Dipped it in egg wash first, then crumbs. Fried to golden perfection. Of course I dip in hot sauce ☺️ Darn I was right!! Delish! I’ve been wanting to bring this page back to life. I started The Feasting Freud years ago because once I got married in 2008, food became my place to learn, play, and figure myself out. I didn’t grow up knowing much about cooking, so I taught myself everything. I fell in love with fresh ingredients, real flavors, and the quiet joy of putting something good on the table. What hooked me wasn’t just the food. It was the way people soften around a meal. The way conversation flows when something warm is in front of you. The connection that happens when you feed someone with intention. So I’m here again. Cooking. Creating. Sharing the things that have carried me through seasons of life. Nothing fancy. Pulled some ingredients together and it was actual magic!!! Red lentil pasta cooked al dente. Infused Chili’s and garlic into olive oil added tomatoes spinach parm mushrooms salt and pep and a bit of heavy cream… tossed in the pasta. Chefs.
