Developer Vs. merchant
Do you guys think it is worth it to learn development on the platform to provide a service to merchants, or would my time be better spent learning things from a merchant perspective?

@Williams Peter I agree with Williams! @David Jensen the reason I've been able to help merchants out is because I first did start a store on Shopify and was poor so I had to start building my own website, learn how to setup everything by myself, and then over time got better at it, then when I learned the ins and outs I was able to serve others who had no experience with the platform. But with my experience, clients don't want custom development stuff anymore, they care more for tactical strategy like email flows, conversion rate optimization, running ads, etc. I would focus on that stuff and that can come from starting a store. The custom development I never learned, I always just outsourced it, tons of people out on the market who can do it for not much!
I just went from packaging 10-15 hours per week to a fully automated Shopify store.
I used to spend hours a week packaging orders, and even tracking inventory, placing inventory orders but I just actually spend the past two weeks setting it up so all of my products are dropshipped from US suppliers. I get a 12- 20% cut on average from the retail sale but its awesome for not needing to lift a finger. An order comes in, sends the info to the owner of the product, and they ship it out from a US warehouse within 1-3 days. No more packaging from my end and no more dropshipping from china where customers will request refunds because they havent gotten any product within 2-3 weeks from when they placed the order. I used Shopify Collective to get these products automatically added to my store based on which vendors i approved (i literally didnt even spend 1 hour to get 10,000 products on my store all related to the video game niche. You can do this too. Are any of you interested in learning how to do this? If not, what other questions do you have that I can help you solve?

@David Jensen I'll usually use Amazon or eBay to see how much of the item has sold. After that I might actually order product myself and then validate getting sales by listing on Mercari, eBay, Etsy, or even Livestream selling it on an app like whatnot or tiktok. Niche validation, I seriously think you can sell things in any niche, it's just doing a search and seeing where they hang out at!
Hey Everyone! What are your updates?
Has been a while I have been in this community, and planning to get more active and provide better value too. So what are y'all doing, is everyone building their stores or in the services space? What are you challenges, maybe some other community members could help too.

Hey Milan, the past year and a half I was busy livestream selling products on whatnot (app). I sold over $100,000 and have built an email list and now just built a dropship store to serve all of these customers since packaging all of those orders was an insane amount of work. Slowly going to start building evergreen content to build traffic sources to my store so i can make more with not much work on the backend. Im okay doing a lot of the work upfront creating systems as i am right now :) So besides my dropship store i am also working with a couple of clients who need help with their stores (only 3 right now) and they are also video game resellers. so pretty cool and I recently got a day job so i can focus on dong the right thing in business instead of focusing on how i can make more money right now because it sucks when you are restricted for cash and make dumb decisions in business. so my day job will take care of my bills while i get to test things and do great business moves.
