Quick thought while setting this up
I've been wanting to build a community space where parents can get answers to questions as they come up and where everyone can share what they're going through. One of the things I hear a lot at conferences is that parents reach a point where they don't know what to do. So I'm curious - what's yours? - What's the thing you Google at 11pm that you wish someone would just explain clearly? - What can I do when they refuse to go to school? - How do I talk about grades without it turning into a fight? Comment below or DM me. I'll start there. ~Adam

Welcome to The Parent Coach Community!
I’m Adam Wurst, and I’m glad you’re here. I'm a public school teacher with 30 years of classroom experience. I’ve had the privilege of working with so many wonderful students who are talented who also sometimes struggle with managing school stress, balance, avoiding school, missing assignments, or feeling constantly overwhelmed. I’ve also sat through hundreds of parent-teacher conferences where exhausted parents ask the same question: “What do I do?” This community exists to answer that question—not with quick fixes or perfect-parent formulas, but with practical strategies that actually work in real families. Here’s what you’ll find here: - Weekly coaching prompts to guide meaningful conversations with your teen - Tools and templates for accountability, organization, and communication - A judgment-free space to share struggles and celebrate small wins - Direct guidance from someone who’s seen what helps—and what doesn’t A few things to know up front: This isn’t a place for: - Crisis intervention (if your teen is in immediate danger, please seek professional help) - Venting without action (support matters, and so does forward movement) - Perfect parenting performances (none of us are doing this flawlessly) This is a place for: - Real and honest conversations about hard things - Practical help you can use right away - Steady progress over time Your first step: Drop a comment below and introduce yourself! - Your name - Your teen’s age or grade - One challenge you’re facing right now I read every comment, and I want you to feel comfortable knowing that this community is here to support you and your family. You’re not alone in this. Let’s figure it out together. ~Adam
