Snakes and ladders
Decided yo try to play snakes and ladders with my 3.5 yr old I figured she can count, and it would be relatively easy to teach It was infuriating She didnt listen to my instructions, kept just banging hwr piece around rhe board counting to 6 then putting it back at the beginning Then wanted to play with all the game pieces like it was just another we toy I want games to be fun things we do together, but this was not that I had to tell her that I was starting to feel frustrated so maybe we'll try again when dads home. (Sometimes hes better at teaching her things)

@Mary Nunaley i try to verbalise my feelings so she can name her feelings eventually Also I want her to learn that its okay to stop doing something when its frustrating, hes struggles a bit with that and just gets more frustrated and worked up Ill definitely give that a go She really wants to play games
The One-Round Ritual
Which one of these connection “rules” are you most likely to try this week? @Erin O'Neill, @Yu-Tzu Huang, @Mukkove Johnson, @Shannon Boyer tagging you to get the conversation started.

Trying to stay out of her way Reminding myself "is this hurting anyone? Is this breaking anything? Do I really need to stop her?"
Bush art
Just a little something we did yesterday Made some "paint" with beetroot in a mortar and pestle, then made a little brush with some baby fern bits and a stick The brush didnt last long but it kept the 3yr old occupied for a while

@Mary Nunaley sure did I had one growing (poorly) in the garden And we gave my daughter her own mortar and pestle for outside potions Just chopped it up into little pieces, mashed it up with some water
