New to the content game and here’s what I learned
Hello everyone, nice to meet you all. I’m just getting into content creation and branding after a decade as an entrepreneur. I don’t know shit. But, I’m learning and understanding the mechanics of content. Lots of inspo here from hormozi and a ton of other creators. When we consume content that helps us realize something quickly that we tie to value or feel like we’re grasping a new concept that many others don’t know - there’s def a dopamine hit there (my opinion). If you can create “Aha moments” with your target audience - you’ll earn their attention regardless of how much you’ve earned, how many businesses you’ve started or how big your following is. My takeaways as an early stage creator: 1. To be successful at content you need a content pump/farm. It has to be everyday, none stop esp in the beginning to create what I’ve coined a “content bridge”. That bridge is what gets your audience from point A of not being your audience to point B of being your audience. The more content you produce the stronger/better the foundation, design and access is to your bridge. 2. The most successful informational content creation must drive the “Aha moment” for the audience through storytelling. How I became, why I became, what you can do, how I do XYZ. Simple, value driven, effective Aha moment content. 3. Entertainment and editing. All content is a highlight reel. The shorter the better. Even with YouTube - cuts, cuts, cuts. The best content is HIGHLY edited, captioned and optimized for quality sound. This is something I’ve slept on for a while, but the reality is that if it doesn’t look good, sound good, drags or is mundane filler shit - it’s over for that piece of content. 4. Everyone creating content - no matter how big - is a person just doing their thing in their own corner. I used to be real intimidated by other creators and what they say. It was like ooooh that’s a good nugget but they put that idea out there and I didn’t. Well, let me tell you something: all the ideas around the content are the same. People just say them differently and to their audience. It’s all the same stuff - but it hits different from different creators. So, get inspired and put your own spin and take on things you consume. Don’t copy shit, but also, don’t just nix an idea for a piece of content because someone else already put their spin on it. Info is all the same, it’s the spin that’s different. 5. Have fun. It’s gotta be enjoyable or you won’t do it. Enjoy the ride and stop giving such a big shit about the outcome.

great post, welcome!
Writers / creators block?
"It's not that I am blocked. It's that I don't have enough research to write with power and knowledge about that topic. It always means, not that I can't find the right words, but rather that I don't have the ammunition." - Sebastian Junger (American author, journalist and film maker) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Today I feel blocked to create. Idea's aren't flowing well, and they're certainly not combining. I remembered the above quote when I was reading "Building a second brain" last night, and thought i'd share here incase anyone else had the same issue. So instead of trying to squeeze blood out of a stone and create things today, I am going to take some time to learn and tidy up my second brain. I'll collect my ideas in my second brain, ready to begin distilling when my mind makes connections and decides the time is right. Hope this can help anyone pulling their hair out over writers block!

@Callum Rylance thats exactly my fav part too LOL that story about the man who came up with that (Richard Feynman) seriously left me mind blown and it just shows the beauty of the human mind, I am soo fascinated by how Tiago teaches about creativity. I love all the stories of people and their "creative process. I can't wait to soon start applying his tips because I'm that person who writes down wayyy too many notes, too many details and all over the place -__- like a note hoarder lol
The Problem I Faced As A Content Consumer
Content consumption is a part of synthesizing and we consume a lot of content. It might not be possible to write down notes of every videos and as per me, I only implement the knowledge for once or twice and then forget about the knowledge. I just live in escapism until the problem is vanished or postponed. So, how you guys consume content and implement in your life until the problem is solved? The one technique I just remembered while writing this was to figure out most important and urgent problem that you or your audience are facing and just consuming knowledge about it, implementing it and sharing the one which works for you. But this process will take a lot of time. Do share your process too which might be completely different from this.

I'm still figuring this out.. in the past I tried my best to consume everything online that I found interesting and it led to super super overwhelm. so now I'm trying to distill what I should spend my time on, I've slowly taken more and more breaks from watching youtube because there's just so much of everything. I'm constantly looking at my problems and goals and this month I decided to only focus on one thing, not watch any videos on anything else( trying this out) . I'm also currently reading the book "building a second brain" which will help with this topic, I suggest you check it out.

@Shubham Yadav at the moment my notes are all over the place, with currently reading the book above, I am hoping to have a better final process of taking notes.
