Discussion Post Four - Devotion
In your own life, how can you shift from only being a "servant" of God into becoming more of a "friend" of God? What does that look like practically?

Um that is a good question. I would say practically letting his river of grace flow over me instead on getting stuck in shame or guilt when I feel like I don't live up to expectations of myself. When I wanna rush his steadfast timing because i am in a servant achieving mindset instead take a moment to slow down and just be and sit in gratitude of his perfect timing. recentering myself on that my identity is his beloved daughter that gets to partner with him not just a servant having to do to earn his love to honor him.

How can you sacrificially serve those you've grown "used to"?

Can sacrificial serve those “overgrown use to” by serving my parents more. Doing certain chore like dishes, sweeping, mopping with out them asking me to. By offering to Cook dinner for them. Also be intentional with making them feel loved and seen by not being short with them when I’m busy and also make time this week to hangout with them or help them with something they need help with.
Discussion Post One - Servant Leadership
Referring to the Scriptures listed at the end of the PowerPoint, what Scripture is the most challenging for you to accept? Why? After you reply to this discussion, feel free to reply to another student's response as well!

this one is the hardest for me to accept "“For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith—that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.” (Phil. 3:8–10).’" just that truly understanding if we have christ we have all we need. Even disciples in the bible that were killed, job his home, family taken away, just so many things People of God have endured but they still stay faithful to God and are fulfilled by Him and lacked nothing. Cause I am learning and growing to be content with if I have Jesus that is enough. and if i loose other things beside him i count it as rubbish. even with just faith that trusting in God and having faith for the unseen things.
