For YEARS I told myself I just needed to find my content style and I’ll eventually be selling things like hotcakes on Instagram. Then it was that my niche wasn't clear enough. For an embarrassingly long time I thought the people making consistent sales just had better content than me. Their reels were so good. The ideas, the hooks, the lighting. So many people are posting on social media every single day because they think its a free way to get more eyes on their products and brands. I've got bad news for you: 👎🏼 Posting on social media every day to try to grow your business is NOT free. Sure, you're not swiping your card. But you are spending: ⏰ The 45 minutes you spent on that reel nobody watched. ⚡️The mental energy of thinking about content at all times. 📋 The thing you were actually supposed to be doing while you were filming. 🧠 The part of your brain that now panics when you haven't posted in three days. @Ina Tenniswood I think the big thing that I tweaked that made my ads really start working is that I focused on the difference between an ad and what cold traffic needs to convert vs. what warm, organic traffic needs. When people already know and trust you in organic, your post doesn't have to be as crystal clear and focused. Cold traffic needs almost insanely simple copy. People think ads need to be this marketing masterpiece. Nope. Just so clear and easy to understand so that your customer can quickly see what's in it for them! 😃
I gave up Netflix for THIS?
When I started in online business a few years ago, I really thought I was built different. Like posting three times a day was going to be MY thing. 🙌🏼 MY superpower. 🦸‍♀️ The reason I made it when other people didn't. I was out here writing captions during nap time, filming reels in my car, editing videos at 11pm while my husband watched TV without me. Truly unwell behavior. 😂 My engagement was fine.
