The 3-step framework to work 10x faster
Back in 2022, I couldn’t focus for more than like 10 minutes. I’d study for hours and still feel like I didn’t get anything done. I’d try to do my homework during class — like literally hiding my math textbook behind my French notes so the teacher wouldn’t catch me. I’d go home and procrastinate. Scroll like crazy. Sleep late. Repeat. And bro it was like this for months. I didn’t even talk to people in class. I’d just be doing homework that I should’ve done at home. Every day felt like I was just trying to catch up. But eventually I snapped out of it. I built this 3-step system that made school feel easy. I got a perfect score on the PSAT. I study less than 2 hours a day now — that includes homework. And I’ve posted 250+ videos without burning out. Here’s what I did: ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ▶ 1. Identify the Essential Few Most tasks don’t move the needle. You’ll spend hours fixing fonts or making your slides look nice, and it won’t change your grade. I remember for one speech, I didn’t even add pictures to the slides. Just used the default theme and spent all my time getting the citations right. I got 145/140 — the highest in class. Turns out, no one cared about the aesthetics. They just cared that I did the one thing that actually mattered. ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ▶ 2. Plan Under Pressure Everyone plans with comfort in mind. “Oh I’ll do it next week, I’ve got time.” But that’s why they keep procrastinating. They don’t feel pressure, so nothing gets done. For me: One day I accidentally fell behind on my morning routine. I had 30 mins before school to edit 3 videos. Normally that takes me like 90. But I finished it all in 30. Just because I had to. From then on, I stopped giving myself extra time. Set a timer. Gave myself a hard deadline. And suddenly the work gets done way faster. ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ▶ 3. Execute With Protection If your phone is next to you while you’re working, you’re not doing deep work. You’re just pretending to be productive. I used to leave my phone on the desk “just in case.”
