Let's earn a stable and high income
Hello. I am Aaron, and I lead a five-person team based in the Philippines. We have historically generated revenue by securing projects from clients and agencies in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe through platforms such as Upwork, Freelancer, and Toptal. However, as you are likely aware, the rise of AI agents and the spread of corporate automation have caused many developers to lose their jobs and flood the freelance market, thereby shrinking the space available for us to operate. Consequently, our revenue has not only gradually declined over the past few years but has also become significantly more volatile. Furthermore, the income levels of Asian developers remain substantially lower than those of their counterparts in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe. Additionally, as the pool of freelance talent from Europe, the U.S., and Latin America has expanded, the number of companies and clients seeking Asian developers has noticeably decreased. While we could manage this disparity in the past when work was plentiful, the current situation is vastly different. Recognizing that our existing methods can no longer guarantee stable, long-term income, I am currently exploring two new strategies. One strategy involves shifting our focus toward AI specialization, while the other entails expanding our operational regions to high-revenue markets such as the U.S., Latin America, and Europe. However, we currently lack the necessary capabilities to execute either of these plans effectively. Although we intend to pivot to AI, we have yet to secure the right experts for the transition. While our team possesses strong technical skills in AI automation, we lack extensive experience in specialized areas like advanced AI/LM (Large Language Models). We see a significant opportunity to generate high revenue by leveraging the rise of AI training platforms(Mercor, AfterQuery, DataAnnotation, Outlier, Turing, Snorkel ); however, we are hindered by a lack of developers with backgrounds in relevant natural sciences and by geographical limitations.

Looking for a new opportunity
Hello, I am a Senior AI and Data Engineer with extensive experience in building data pipelines, backend systems, and AI-powered applications. My work primarily involves leveraging Python, SQL, ETL/ELT processes, APIs, cloud platforms, and data engineering technologies. I have a proven track record of successfully designing reliable data pipelines, integrating diverse data sources, improving data quality, and optimizing database and application performance. In the AI domain, I utilize machine learning and cutting-edge AI technologies to build practical solutions for data processing, automation, intelligent search, and application workflows. I enjoy the end-to-end development process—taking a project from the data layer through the backend to a fully production-ready solution. I am a proactive problem-solver who excels at tackling complex challenges and collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Business teams. I prioritize writing clean, maintainable code and building systems that are reliable, scalable, and easy to manage. My strength lies in combining a solid foundation in data engineering with backend development experience and practical AI knowledge. I place great value on using technology to solve real-world business problems rather than adopting tools simply for the sake of using them. I am currently wrapping up my previous engagement and actively seeking new opportunities. I value collaboration with fellow developers and always welcome conversations with others interested in software development or the latest trends in AI. I also have a proposal for a new collaboration, which you can review below. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LI7Pm-BTuFDtSUEJyHWh1IYstdFLmHqYvd8CvDZP4bM/edit?usp=drive_link

Hello. I am Aaron, and I lead a five-person team based in the Philippines. We have previously generated revenue by securing projects from clients and agencies in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe through platforms such as Upwork, Freelancer, and Toptal. However, as you are likely aware, the rise of AI agents and the spread of corporate automation have caused many developers to lose their jobs and flood the freelance market, thereby shrinking the market space available to us. Consequently, our revenue has not only gradually declined over the past few years but has also become significantly more volatile. Furthermore, earnings for developers in Asia remain substantially lower than those for their counterparts in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe. There has also been a marked decrease in the number of companies and clients seeking Asian developers, as the pool of available freelancers from Europe, the U.S., and Latin America has expanded. While we could manage this disparity in the past when work was plentiful, the current situation is vastly different. Recognizing that our existing approach can no longer guarantee stable, long-term income, I have been exploring new strategies.
