Have you made your Deep Self Care Challenge post yet?!
For the month of August, I challenge you to give yourself Daily Deep Self Care, in a way that feels nourishing to you and fits your life. The specifics… Step 1: On or before August 1st, make a post that’s titled something along the lines of “Deep Self Care Challenge”. Every day in August, or whenever you visit Skool, share in the comments under your post something you’ve done for yourself that’s nourishing, healthy, and makes your cells tingle with joy. It can be something simple like 5 minutes to have a cup of tea, taking a 15 minute walk, showing up for a Hypno Health session, spending 20 minutes in prayer or meditation, bath time, or reading a book for 10 minutes. It can also be something more involved like driving to New Mexico with yourself, your partner, or your best friend, and luxuriating in hot springs for 3 days! Step 2: Comment on 2-3 other people’s Deep Self Care Challenge posts, to celebrate fellow Thrive members! At the end of the month, the 2 community members with the top posts, the ones that have most engagement and likes from other members, will get an hour of free Coaching from Vasi (valued at 125 dollars)! How do you get the most engagement? Show up with honesty and authenticity, comment on your own post and the posts of others, engage with other community members. Let’s do this!!

Great idea. Its one of my areas of wellness that is often overlooked but I also need a reset on what is self-care

I'm not perfect. And that's a good thing. You don't have to be perfect to experience natural, sustainable weight loss. Being too perfect can actually be an obstacle. I eat mindlessly sometimes, even though I know that I do better and digest better when I eat with awareness. But today, I choose to have cabbage, cauliflower, or maybe some dark chocolate in a mindless way instead of huge bags of chips or a tub of ice cream like I did before. Another difference between the me today that's figured out sustainable weight loss and the me of yesterday that struggled with being able to lose the weight and keep it off is that I don't let being imperfect derail me from my wellness goals and aspirations. If I overeat one day or break my fast early for whatever reason, I don't stress it, and I don't let it derail me from my health goals for a week/month/year, like I used to in the past. I send myself love and compassion, know that I did my best in that moment, and keep going, knowing that good health and wellness is more of a marathon rather than a sprint. When we are too perfect, a part of us starts to get resentful and plot ways to rebel against boundaries that feel too rigid, at least that's my experience. When I move towards my health goals and aspirations with some flexibility, I allow myself the freedom to respond to life as it is, and I build trust with myself, knowing that I can get back up and keep going even if I stumble and fall sometimes. Have you ever experienced trying to be too perfect as an obstacle to reaching your goals? In what way can you experiment with being less perfect today? Share in the comments. Where are you on the scale of purrfection? Vote below!

Everything that we eat is a diet but so often we refer to it in a weight loss framework. We are told that for our sex and height we should fall within a certain weight category and I think age should be added especially for woman. Are these guidelines still appropriate for 2025? What are we eating along with the nutrients in our food? Do you read the packaging for details? Have you made it known that you don't like what the food industry is adding to your food? Do you grow any food yourself? You can do it even in an apartment and even more in the backyard of your home. How much food preparation and cooking do you do at home?

@Vasi Smith I make all of my meals using locally sourced vegetables and fruit, grass grown meat and free range chicken. What is applied to the land is regulated as well as what is given to animals. I have learnt to read the ingredients on any packaged foods I purchase. I remember the food pyramid and try and stick to it Its not perfect as I think I need to look further into micronutrients
