NEW Video Course Uploaded
We have officially launched our first video course to The Becoming Brothers Academy! You can find it in the classroom section. We will continue to upload courses as we go for you to deepen and refresh on the material we are teaching here. If there is anything you would like us to make content for, please feel free to make your requests. This is a space where you get to ask for what you want, and even if we do not oblige, it is a good practice to be in.

celebrating vs rewarding
I have been reflecting on the discussion we had last night and have come to the conclusion that I am not actually good at celebrating my actions and accomplishments. I am good at rewarding myself. I tend to operate from a lens of I did A I get B. Although this may help by reward seeking, it often seems empty of the feeling of rejoicing that celebrating suggests. This all feels like progress, as I have historically relied heavily on negative self-talk to spur action. Reward is at least neutral to somewhat positive (depending on the reward), but there is still room for growth. What does it mean to celebrate? what feeling or thoughts does it conjure?

@Manu Vitae at this point, the main thing that has shifted if focusing on the "fuck yeah, I did it" feeling, and shifting the internal dialogue. I'm starting to wonder if what if some of the reward structure is me withholding from myself in order to have some carrots. There's probably a way to plant a whole new row of carrots to spur on action.
What are you working on this week?
Taking inspiration from @Jon Dawson's post about what we're working towards for the week with some of his prior reflective prompts: 1) What am I working on this week? 2) What action will I take? 3) What is holding me back? 1. What I'm working on? Practicing reading/presenting final scripts aloud for mindful self-leadership course. 2. What actions will I take? There's 10-modules (about 4,000 words per module) in the course, so I'm breaking it up into 2-3 modules per day for practice. 3. What is holding me back? I've had some hesitation around continuing to edit or refine parts of the scripts for continuity and flow, where I start to question my credibility in the information and delivery of the content. Feeling like I could add more or go deeper. I had a supportive coaching session with @Reko Vitae last week that has helped me ground in authentic energy. We quickly got to a theme thru a limiting context/belief I hold ("I have to show my value/worth in order to connect with other people") and created a short mantra that has stayed with me across social and professional settings ("Standing in my ancient wisdom"). Holding that in my awareness, I've maintained connection to my intuition to know what feels true to me in moments of hesitation, whether it's with work/writing or social interactions. Curious if there's anything you all are working towards this week? Cheers

1. I am working on my website. 2. I will engage AI with a sense of curiosity to see how it can help my SEO. 3. Sunny days are making it hard to sit in front of a screen. I would much rather be in the garden/yard/down by the ocean. It has also been a very busy work week, which was the goal, but has left me with less prime time for energy intensive goals. I am working on discipline, as I have noticed a desire to stay up later after long work days (revenge bedtime procrastination).

I fluctuate between the mundane unfolding of existence in this society and sheer awe at the great love affair between earth and sky.
