Hi everyone, I’ve been reflecting lately on what it means to live a truly "creative" life. Sometimes we think it’s about the finished product, but lately, for me, it’s about the moments in between. (Just as well because I'm not getting a lot of 'finishing' done these days!) Watching my ducks and my goose, Baby, splash in the pond and run to meet me (even if they leave a mess behind!) is something that is filling my tank right now. I love the mornings spent in quiet reflection, even when that silence is joyfully interrupted by my grandkids. 😅 It’s reminded me that we don't need a "perfect" setup to be happy. My cottage is tiny, and I’m still waiting on a kitchen, wondering if I'll ever have one, but it’s taught me that the simple things—and the people we love—are what truly feed the soul. I’d love to know: What is one "simple thing" in your home or workspace today that is bringing you joy? 🕊️

Sometimes our creative flair is fanned into flame by taking ourselves away from our normal environs and out on a creative date! Julia Cameron, who wrote "The Artist's Way," said, "An artist date is a block of time, especially set aside and committed to nurturing your creative consciousness, your inner artist. I must say I felt so inspired after my little outing last week! @Debra Verrall I'll be needing to make an outfit to wear to the next event! I may need your help! If you haven't seen it already, then here it is - the lovely picnic I attended over Easter.

Sundays is always a contemplative day for me! Today I as I sat and journaled, I listened to music - it helps me focus and get in touch with what’s really going on in my heart. I’ve had a hectic week and found it hard to settle - my mind felt busy and overwhelmed so it was good to sit and write. Down my feelings as I listened to the words of numerous songs… The words below caught my attention. What are your thoughts when you see them?
