Hey anyone who's reading, I was just thinking about what i needed to proceed next with my trading and I came up with a few questions. thank you if you take the time to consider them. 1. I hear about how a lot of the time you won't trade every day, and maybe only will take a few trades a week. But don't a lot of prop firms have a rule where you have to trade 5 days a week? how does one secure successful trading with one of those firms if they're only taking a few trades a week like that? 2. Also I hear about how prop firms will want you to close your trade by the end of the day, at least in the evaluation stage i think. When i watch Kyle's setup videos, a lot of the trades take more than one day to complete. How does this come into play when passing an evaluation account? 3. This one kinda correlates with the last one. Does the need to close trades by the end of the day only apply during the evaluation stage (i guess we can use Apex as an example)? or does it continue once you pass your evaluation account and get funded? thanks for any input hope your day is going well

Here’s the nuance: - Most prop firms (like Apex) require “5 trading days”, NOT 5 full strategy trades - A “trading day” can literally be: 1 micro trade Small position Even a quick in-and-out 👉 So what smart traders do: - Take only A+ setups (2–3 per week max) - Then use small, low-risk trades on other days just to meet the rule 💡 This aligns perfectly with what Kyle teaches: You are NOT supposed to trade every day—you’re supposed to wait for high-probability setups (your edge) 🔹 2. “What about closing trades same day vs Kyle’s multi-day trades?” This is a key distinction most people miss: 🧠 There are TWO different modes: 1. Evaluation Mode / Funded Mode (prop firm rules) - Usually requires: No overnight holds Close before end of day 2. Personal Trading - You can: Hold trades longer Let setups fully play out (like Kyle shows) 🔑 So what do you do during evaluation? You adapt the strategy slightly, not abandon it: - Same setup (Superman model) - Same direction bias - Same entry logic - 👉 BUT: - Take intraday portions of the move - Secure profit within the session Think of it like: “I know this move might take 2–3 days… but I’m just grabbing today’s piece of it.” 🔹 3. “Do those rules continue after you get funded?” Depends on the firm—but generally: 🟢 Evaluation Stage: - Strict rules (no overnight, etc.) 🟡 Funded Stage: - Often more flexibility, BUT: Some firms STILL require closing positions daily Some allow swings (less common) 👉 Apex specifically: - Typically still day trading focused, even funded 🔹 The Bigger Picture (this is important)
