How do you view discipline? I got this wrong for years.
I just read this post in @Mitchell Dallas 's community by @Jaydian Concepcion "Motivation is a guest. Discipline pays the rent." Here's another one I love: "Discipline brings freedom." Another way of saying it is that the path to freedom is discipline. I personally struggled with discipline for years, not wanting to be constrained. I resisted surrendering to discipline as if it was a limitation. Boy did I have it WRONG. This is precisely WHY i've created my Purpose Activation ritual, and why I teach it to my clients (business owners and career builders). Whatever result we want (goal, outcome, etc.) - ask what are the habits that would make realizing/achieving that goal/outcome INEVITABLE? And after 29 years in business, nothing has been more effective for me, than activating my purpose as part of my morning routine, where I: - read my purpose statement - read WHO I serve - read all the ways I serve them - and most importantly...I read my 80 reasons WHY living my purpose is a MUST. This morning routine of activating my purpose and especially the last part (reading the reasons WHY living my purpose is a MUST) is the way I use discipline to cause, unleash and command motivation on-demand. It's my krobar. It give me an enormous amount of energy, drive and focus - that protects me throughout my day - so that when the hard that is part of life shows up - it's more of a speedbump I giggle at as I hop over it and handle it. Let me know in the comments, if you'd like me to create a course here teaching you my purpose activation process.

This is so good man thank you. Living in-line with our values and purpose is the key to a fulfilled life. The media tells us to try to be happy but the happiness they make the propaganda of is just the pleasure. In my worldview, the happiness is the result of being content and fulfilled with life. It is about the peace of heart. The happiness the media made us believe, it just a fleeting moment, but the peace of mind and the heart, can go for a lifetime.

Today's Q&A Call was amazing! Here's to the movers & shakers @Vladislav Van Wyk @Mitchell Dallas @Ömer Tekin @Mark Zammit @Cody Mann @Coach Gregory Dahl @Vladislav Van Wyk @Anita Klink We actually got work done - PLUS unstucks PLUS new connections & friends. @Vladislav Van Wyk @Ömer Tekin and @Mitchell Dallas realized they have similar niches that compliment one another, and they've decided to team up and do a collaborative call (bringing members from all 3 of their communities together onto one call)!! Brilliant! A referral ecosystem in the making!! Way to go guys!

Gratitude time!
Please share 5 things you are grateful for! Developing the habit and mindset of gratitude is a game changer. My coach baked it into everything she did with all her clients. To be grateful is to be generous. Being grateful in all you do is generative and will help displace the thinking of thoughts that scare you, which brings into being what we don’t want. Instead, focus on what you can be grateful for. https://www.loom.com/share/3bdcf0b86f9d40ddb723db8578109ecb

Acting As If...Is Oxygen For Your Dreams
This is a story about an unspoken force - a force that not many speak of. It is the power of DECIDING and committing to a goal, when combined with the bold genius of acting as if it will happen. By acting as if, you are making your decision right. By acting as if, you are demonstrating to the universe your commitment to your DECISION, that your goal WILL be realized, not because it’s a goal, but because you have DECIDED that it’s actually going to happen. The story begins with a woman who love, love, loved the saxophone...playing the saxophone. It made her feel alive...like it was her oxygen. But she had gone years without her saxophone. It had been taken away years ago. Years without this joy and feeling of aliveness that came with playing the saxophone. One day she caught herself admitting to herself that not only did she want a saxophone, but in a moment of bold knowing, she DECIDED that she would have her very own tenor saxophone. She didn’t know how she would get one, but she was committed to making it happen. So she applied for a scholarship that gave grants to musicians in hopes of winning the money to buy the saxophone. And she was awarded the scholarship! She was elated to receive the scholarship money. But now she had to find a tenor saxophone to buy. She didn’t know where to get a saxophone, especially a used one. She realized it would take a couple weeks, even if she acted quickly before she would have her hands on her saxophone. And then it would need to be taken into the music shop to be refurbished and brought into working order. So actually, it would really be about a month before she could PLAY her new saxophone. And here’s where she tapped into that unspoken force of acting as if. A mentor challenged her to contact a saxophone teacher immediately and schedule a lesson for the earliest possible date - ideally in the next 2 weeks. She was confused. “But I don’t even have a saxophone yet. How can I schedule a lesson if I don’t even have my own saxophone yet?”, she said.
