Wisdom Works Live Tonight Wealth Creation: The Three C's That Determine Whether You Build Wealth or Merely Chase It One of the greatest misconceptions among Christians is that wealth creation begins with money. Scripture teaches something altogether different. Before God ever entrusts a man or woman with greater resources, He first addresses the person who will steward them. Wealth is not merely a financial issue. It is a wisdom issue. It is a stewardship issue. It is a character issue. This is why Proverbs 20 is such a remarkable chapter. Solomon says very little about investments, business plans, or financial strategies. Instead, he exposes the habits, appetites, and decisions that determine whether a person can be trusted with increase. Tonight in Wisdom Works Live, we will examine what I call The Three C's of Wealth Creation. 1. Comfort Proverbs 20:13 "Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread." The issue is not sleep. The issue is what you love. The Hebrew word translated love is covenant language. It speaks of affection, devotion, and preference. Solomon is warning us that when comfort becomes our affection, poverty eventually becomes our companion. Many people pray for increase while protecting the very comforts that prevent it. Wisdom requires that we awaken, not merely from physical sleep, but from spiritual complacency, mental laziness, and vocational drift. 2. Counterfeits Proverbs 20:17 "Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel." Every generation has its shortcuts. Our generation has simply digitized them. The temptation is always the same: Quick success. Easy money. Artificial influence. Immediate results without faithful labor. Solomon reminds us that deception always begins sweet, but it never ends sweet. Wisdom looks beyond today's pleasure and asks what tomorrow's consequences will be. 3. Counsel Proverbs 20:18 "Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war."

Over the past several weeks I have spent dozens of hours studying, testing, researching, and teaching Artificial Intelligence from a biblical, theological, and wisdom-centered perspective. Wisdom says: “Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.” (Proverbs 8:33-34) Notice the picture Solomon paints. The blessed man is not waiting for wisdom to accidentally find him. He understands that growth requires pursuit. He intentionally places himself in environments where he can learn, grow, ask questions, challenge assumptions, and gain understanding. He knows that if he continues to think the same way he has always thought, he will continue to produce the same results he has always produced. The fool rarely does that. He assumes he already knows enough. He tells himself he will get around to learning later. He becomes consumed with urgent matters while neglecting important ones. Then he wonders why opportunities seem to pass him by while others continue to move forward.

I’ve been watching some of Sean’s older live sessions, and I’ve honestly been amazed by how quickly and powerfully a person’s project can accelerate when they bring it before the group, receive input from Sean, and then take immediate action on the next steps he suggests. It really can move things forward at a pace that feels 12x faster. Part of me wishes I had joined sooner, but I also recognize that some things take the time they take before the right insight, timing, and traction come together. Looking back, I can see that timing has its place. What I believe is one of the greatest obstacles to seeing real results under Sean’s guidance is often our own attachment to our ideas—our tendency to believe we must first do what seems best in our own eyes instead of seeking and trusting wise counsel.
