On the Substack now too, I guess.
So I have more articles than I want to post here because I don't want to overwhelm members. And Medium is irritating. SO I reactivated my Substack. I really don't like maintaining a million platforms, though, so some may get trimmed in the future. What do you guys think? I've added a poll for your consideration. I'll be interested to hear how it's going in a few months, and if you see traffic coming to Skool from Substack or the other way around. I really like Substack, but I'm also careful not to be everywhere.

Hello, I'm Kris. I am a typographic designer, making books and publications. Figuring out how to share my passion for typefaces and the craft of making the page nice. I live in Stockholm.

@Nick Nebelsky Ah, nice! That’s so cool, I’ve only handled sorts and tools but never really used them. But my father did, and I’ve learned a lot from him.
Can anyone vouch for the "Synthesizer" group?
Seriously looking for real third-party experiences here. So far, I'm not impressed. Telemarketing turns me off from the jump. I agreed to a meeting, and they asked me to watch their promo material first. The prep material consisted of a 25-brag claim with no factual, verifiable details, and the first video they had me watch in the classroom was an hour-long meandering diatribe that went nowhere. It looks and smells like every other get-rich-quick scam. Are any of my members able to vouch for them firsthand? Apparently, one of the admins is "Skool personality" Andrew Kirby, and he does their community intro video, which is supposed to lend credibility, but I don't care. Smells really fishy. I am not sharing their links here; I do not want to bring anyone else into a group that I do not trust. Also, using telemarketing seems really off-brand for Skool. It's outdated and no one likes it, so why are they interrupting my workday to try and sell me some ephemeral service?

It’s one of the first and most established communities on Skool, with a ton of success stories. They share the roadmap for free, and if you follow it you will see results. They also sell their high ticket scaling for those looking for some accountability and hand-holding. I’m sure phone calls you haven’t agreed to are annoying, but it should be no problem to decline those.

@Mike Gagnon I see. That's a completely legitimate position, no need to make a business out of your creative art. Just turn down any offers they make or leave the group altogether.
Saturday Morning Cartoons
Happy Shaturday to all of my wonderful creators in the community. BTW that makes me wonder....what should we call ourselves? Like a group nickname. Lady Gaga has her little monsters and The Creators Union has ________ Open to suggestions. I'll revisit this with a poll sometime.

The Night of the Living Dead 1968
If you haven't checked out our course, The Art of the Undead Story, you're missing out on a ton of great reference content. #Introduction- Words of the Undead This is just one of the videos included in the bonus reference material. Have you ever seen Romero's original "The Night of the Living Dead"? If not, you've been missing out, but you can go ahead and click on this video and enjoy the vintage horror treat, which is public domain, so I can share the entire film here! Enjoy!
