Sling bag thoughts
In my travels this week, I’ve seen more men wearing a sling bag for their belongings. I’m not one to look at that as an option, kinda reminds me of a fanny pick from back in the 80s, but then again a better alternative to wearing cargo shorts and stuffing them full of your belongings, aside from a six pack of beer during a Mardi Gras parade when you’re in your teens, or did I just reveal too much. Just wanted to get y’all’s thoughts on them, I’d be more inclined to just use a small backpack, but that’s just me.

With the few little things I carry—cigarette rolling machine, prescription sunglasses, e.g.—a sling bag is a lifesaver… not too bulky, and easy to carry while wearing a more casual outfit. But I have a question for those who use them… when sitting a a cafe, is it okay to leave it on, or is it better to hang it over the chair or place it in your lap?
Introduce Yourself (ALL Intros HERE Please!)
OK, so by introducing yourself you are guaranteed to get to level 2 - it's really that easy and I LOVE learning more about the cool people in this group. Feel free to share where you're from, why you're here, what you do for a living, and what you like about style. Are you a watch guy, suit guy, fragrance guy, or maybe just getting started? Have fun here!

Nice to be here amongst y’all… I look forward to both being able to garner some style knowledge from those of you who have been successfully walking this path for a while and in helping others who are just starting this journey and are encountering the same pitfalls I have. This started for me with expected transatlantic boat trips as I prepare for retirement in Europe. The boat trips are not as likely now, as we begin to make our plans eight years out. We are anticipating a retirement in Paris, and though I never expect to be mistaken there for a fellow Frenchman, I would like to blend in and not be immediately struck at first sight as a tourist… I assume having the effortless elegance will go a long way towards that goal.

I had a relatively simple resolution this year… to learn to care more about my appearance
