3 Ways to Get More Book Reviews
If your book isn’t getting reviews yet… It’s going to be really hard to get consistent sales. Reviews are what build trust, and trust is what gets people to actually click ā€œbuy.ā€ In this video, I walk through what’s actually working right now, from launch strategies to simple tweaks inside your book to one method that makes getting reviews way easier (and most authors aren’t even using it yet). 1. The Book Launch Method - Giving early readers your manuscript 2. QR Codes - Using QR codes driving users back to your review page 3. Bookvillage - @Adriano Ferrigno has a book review platform designed to help authors get book reviews in a way that is Amazon-compliant to get VERIFIED PAID REVIEWS! If getting reviews has been a struggle for you, you’ll definitely want to watch this one. You can get a BOOK VILLAGE account here, and for a limited time, you're getting a 30-day free trial AND a 25% discount. After you watch, let me know—which strategy are you going to try first?

@Elara Stroud It's very nice of you, Alara. I actually have about ten books published already, so it really is a longer-term approach as I want to build reviews over time.
Canva's Magic Layers!!
Hey folks, this one's big. One of the most frustrating aspects of AI image generation is if it's not quite right, you have to constantly re-run it. Well, not anymore. Canva now has a magic layer tool which will allow you to select text, icons, essentially different layers of the image, and move them around. This is absolutely huge because you can now generate the 95% solution with ChatGPT or with Gemini, and then use the magic layer feature in Canva to make those final 5% adjustments. This is incredibly useful for anyone using AI to make book covers, A+ content, etc.

@Krista Brea Use any of the AI tools in Canva except for removing backgrounds and now the magic layer.
Bestselling Author Barbie Visualization Prompt
First I am going to give credit to where credit is due. @Nick Nebelsky and @Manda Jackson have been the inspiration for the foundation of the barbie in a box prompts. I have just manipulated the prompt to make myself into a doll that is a BEST SELLING AUTHOR. (Sorry GUYS this probably won't end up well for you) āž”ļø If you too want to become a Barbie in a box, BEST SELLER here was my prompt. *PRO TIP* Edit the prompt to your own taglines and color schemes for best outputs! Create a highly realistic retail toy doll based on the uploaded person’s face. The doll should clearly resemble the person in the reference image, preserving their facial features, skin tone, and hairstyle, adapted into a realistic vinyl fashion doll (smooth skin, slightly simplified features, glossy eyes). Theme: ā€œBest Selling Author" Outfit: Female option: Fuchsia Pink jumpsuit with a bow tied at the waist. A dainty gold necklace with a heart. An apple watch with a hot pink band. Packaging Design: A realistic toy store box with a clear plastic window. Brand Name (top of box): ā€œBestselling Author 2026ā€ Character Name (large text on front): Krista Tagline (under the name): ā€œBestselling Amazon Authorā€ Side Panel Text: ā€œKrista Brea is a bestselling author with over 12 self-published books on Amazon. She has generated six figures in royalties—while building her publishing business part-time.ā€ Feature Highlights (front or side): Bestselling Author Limited Edition Handcrafted Accessories Collector’s Edition Ages 6+ Bottom Details: Barcode, small safety icons, and fine print text like a real toy package. Background Insert (inside box): Stage event with a stack of books on a table. Composition: Front-facing, centered product shot showing the full boxed doll, like it’s displayed on a store shelf. Lighting: Soft commercial studio lighting with subtle reflections on the plastic window. Style: Ultra-realistic product photography — must look like a real toy sold in stores. Color Palette: Pink, Black, White, Neutrals Details: Sharp focus, visible plastic reflections, realistic packaging materials, fabric texture, molded accessory compartments, slight gloss on doll face and hair. Important Instruction: Use the uploaded image strictly as the facial reference for the doll. Maintain likeness while translating into a realistic toy form. Optional Negative Prompt: cartoon, illustration, blurry, distorted face, poor likeness, messy packaging, modern clothing, fantasy elements, extra limbs, text errors, unrealistic materials
