What is your current build for a character your playing?
Hello guys. I am curious to hear what characters you are playing at the moment. I'll start with a short intro to the setting 🙂 I am currently playing in a campaign set in a homebrew world named Usalia. In this 2nd campaign, in this world, this time we are playing in the continent Emerise Empire - a desert land filled with uneasy alliances between great clans and a heavy dose of honor and traditions. And more importantly, a new resource called Unobtanium, which has groundbreaking properties for magical Tech. Something the people of Emerise is not interested in, since it would completely change their way of life. This combination is halting technical progression, wich have left opportunity for outside influences, whom promise power and wealth to the Emperor of Eremise. This is a recipe for nationwide conflict and a legitimate reason for other Clans to challenge the current Emperor for the seat of power. Aight, so. I'm playing a half elf Swashbuckler rouge/warlock. I was not ment to, since I really liked @Sage Crane swashbuckler battlemaster with double bladed scimitar. Alas, at some point in the story, we freed an old spirit from a tomb, and I used that opportunity to get a ginie patrion. Here is the build Rouge (Swashbuckler) 4 lvl. Warlock (ginie) 5 lvl. pact of the chain Invocations: Eldritch mind gift of the ever living ones ( we play with no auto full hp on long rest) Mask of many faces Feats: Lvl 4 rouge - elven accuracy In combat: Plays like a melee rouge. Going in with the spell shadow blade and booming blade and tries to land one good hit, with the help of elven accuracy/advantage from familiar or being on dim light or darkness. That's 4d8 + 2d6 + 8 (and we do like crits) And then move away to try and trigger 2d8 from booming. Out of combat. I'm high charisma with expertise skills to back it up. My little imp buddy is so great for scouting and infiltration. Basically all my spells from warlock goes into infiltration and espionage.

@Jason Minter A mate in my current game is playing a drunk fisherman who used to be a dagger throwing champion in his young days, and he tours inns playing dagger throwing for money still thinking he is the shit ! " I'm the back to back dagger throw champ 56' and 57'" He is a battlemaster fighter, using daggers and fishing nets. Very powerful build 😁 A Strength throwing ranger sounds awsome aswell 👌

@Jason Minter I build around a concept and then maximise the build around that. Everyone can make a gloomstalker, Assassin, battlemaster with crossbow expert and sharpshooter (5e) 😁 I find the alternative much more interesting.
Great Stories
What are some of the best moments you've had playing RPGs? I would love to hear about your critical successes, epic failures, or weird off the wall unexpected outcomes.

@Sage Crane sounds not only as a great character, but like a great table as a whole 🙂 And like a freaking fun session.
Homebrew Magic item sharing
Hey guys and gals! I enjoy making homebrew magic items for my players to find i shops in all my cities, or to find on their adventures. So i thought that i would go through my notes and pick up some of the items i have created over the years, and share them here. And at the same time encourage other people to share some sweet loot for the community to grab for their games. Have a good one !

@Tucker V I have a clean one and then just add img and txt in paint 😉 Sometimes I use AI for the img and sometimes I draw (like with the pickaxe) I can post the template if anyone want to use it. Feels better to give out a card at the table, even though they'll never use it again 😅
I THINK I DID IT!
Behold, the impossible multiclass made powerful and possible at level 6! *I spent all last week making this* Is it good, or horrible? @Sage Crane @Marko Pasha @Rowdy DaRogue

Bladesong says: "It ends early if you are incapacitated, if you don medium or heavy armor or a shield, or if you use two hands to make an attack with a weapon." Rage says: "If you are able to cast spells, you can't cast them or concentrate on them while raging." ;) I see. You took the feat eldritch adept feat. Rolling a d20 for stats is pretty swingy :D But nice rolls !

@Lux Aeterna It dosent work to that extent, but there are some merit to dipping 2 lvl into barbarian. You can cast False life and mirror image before raging, and still have them up. False life you can upcast to give you like 30 temp hp. There might be other spells that can help that don't require concentration, but still last long enough to help You also get reckless attack, but have to use strength, so get a longsword. And with those stats you are fine. Unarmored Defense and blade song stacks giving a 25 ac, wich is insane And you get the resistance to non magical attacks from rage. And if you take a hit you can use Song of Defense: When you take damage, you can use your reaction to expend one spell slot and reduce that damage to you by an amount equal to five times the spell slot's level. ( and then half it with rage) And then you can just be a fireball flinging wizard when you want to, on the side when you are not raging. Scale you expectations down a bit, and you can still have fun I think 🙂 There might be a reason to go 3 lvl in barbarian and get bear totem (While raging, you have resistance to all damage except psychic damage) Keep at it with the character building 😉
Sage, DO NOT READ!!
Hey all, I'm DMing a session for my DND group, which includes Sage hence the title. I have the attached image as my idea for a battle map, which I'm designing as a two story apartment building (top - second floor, bottom - first floor). My idea with the combat is that it is going to be a really shoddily constructed building, so the walls and floors break away when they're messed with. I'm hoping that the fight will start on the second floor, and the party's opponent will be focused on forced movement so as the enemy hits with attacks and pushes the party around, they'll crash through into other rooms, or perhaps into the floor below. I'm trying to specifically think on the mechanics of this, ie should smashing through the walls deal extra damage? should it require a save? should it knock them prone? Looking for any feedback on this and any ideas you might have on implementation or other things to add to make it a fun encounter! Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Strip them of all weapons. Make them use improvised weapons throughout the encounter. The rain coming through the leaking roof, makes it so that the floors are weaker from the top (Lower DC) and stronger towards the bottom (Higher DC) The construction on the bottom floor is made up from load bearing support beams, and then the PC's (or enemies) are on that floor, they can force people down from the floors above (in sections), by removing these beams and causing the upper floors to crash. If they remove too much, they might cause a full cave in of the building. Make Dex saves to try and stay on the upper floors. And if you attack an enemy below you, you have advantage. Throwing things like broken beams, or a bed has short range (5 to 10 ft.) when targeting enemies below, while yeeting a plate has range but lower damage. If the PC's get the upper hand to quickly, enemies comes in from the roof to force the PC's to move. Just some thought about an encounter like this, that come to mind ! Would really like to try it :D Have fun !

No problem. I would even do 3 or 4 levels to the building :)
