🏙️ Mini-Challenge: What City Would You Like to Visit Next?
📝 Your Task: This is an opinion + explanation challenge. 👉 Please: • Answer in your target language • Name one city you’d like to visit next • Explain why (culture, food, atmosphere, people, curiosity, etc.) • Try on your own first • Use AI as needed • Go beyond one sentence Any city is valid — famous or not. ❓ The Question What city would you like to visit next, and why? ✨ Example Answer (English) I’d really like to visit Tokyo next. I’m curious about the mix of tradition and modern life, and the city feels very different from anywhere I’ve been before. I’d love to explore different neighborhoods, try the food, and just experience daily life there. It feels like a place where you can never get bored. ✨ Your turn. Pick a city, explain what draws you there, and put it into words 🌍✈️
🏙️ Mini-Challenge: What City Would You Like to Visit Next?
I'd like to visit Memphis Tennessee, because Elvis lived there! I'm a big fan of Elvis, and I really want to go there and visit the mansion where he used to live, see the studio, the famous TV Elvis shot with a gun... I would also practice my English by talking to people, considering that, in the US, everyone speaks English...
@Gabriel Silva Right now, I'm more into the calm and relaxing songs, like 'Hawaiian Sunset', 'Earth Boy', and 'Summer Kisses, Winter Tears'. I actually listened to the Blue Hawaii album on vinyl yesterday—it has so many relaxing songs! Hawaii is such an interesting place to visit. I'm really looking forward to going there and listening to the album on the beach!
One or two?
Hi guys! I've been learning English for 3 years and a half, and I'm thinking about starting a new language! But there's one problem...I also want to get to a really high level in English...I'm somewhere between B2 and C1... My next language will be Spanish, I think. So, what do you think? Should I start Spanish in 2026, and do both Spanish and English? Or should I focus entirely on English?
@Antonio Torrealba Thank you Antonio!
@Antonio Torrealba ¡Gracias!
🏫💻 Mini-Challenge: Language Schools or Learning Online — What’s More Effective?
📝 Your Task: This is an opinion + explanation challenge. 👉 Please: • Answer in your target language • Say which you think is more effective: language schools or learning online • Explain why (go beyond one sentence) • You can talk about motivation, structure, flexibility, speaking practice, cost, etc. • Try on your own first • Use AI as needed There’s no correct answer — just share your honest view. ❓ The Question Do you think language schools or learning online is more effective? Why? ✨ Example Answer (English) I think learning online is more effective for most people. It’s more flexible, and you can choose content that fits your level and interests. Language schools can be useful for structure and social interaction, but they often move too slowly or too fast. For me, online learning works better because I can practice more and stay consistent. ✨ Your turn. Pick a side, explain your reasoning, and express your opinion in your own words 💬
🏫💻 Mini-Challenge: Language Schools or Learning Online — What’s More Effective?
@Gabriel Silva Yes, for sure! I actually started learning English because I hated the method in my school. I hated the classes full of grammar, and I understood nothing because no one taught me how to learn words. So, I started learning it online, and I got passionate about it! Instead of doing grammar exercises and drills, I simply watched series of my interest. I literally got addicted to studying. Nowadays I'm also interested in reading, and, because I study by myself, I read material of interest to me!
@Cleber Freitas One way you can practice your conversation skills is using ChatGPT. You can literally talk to it about whatever you want. Just pick up a topic of interest to you and have fun!
🎶 Mini-Challenge: What Song Always Puts You in a Good Mood?
📝 Your Task: This is a fun, feel-good recommendation challenge. 👉 Please: • Answer in your target language • Name one song that always puts you in a good mood • Explain why (the melody, lyrics, memories, vibe, etc.) • You can mention when you listen to it or how it makes you feel • Try on your own first • Use AI as needed • Go beyond one sentence No wrong answers — just honest expression. ❓ The Question What song always puts you in a good mood, and why? ✨ Example Answer (English A song that always puts me in a good mood is “Lucky Man” by The Verve. It has a calm, positive feeling that makes me slow down and appreciate what I have. I like listening to it when I’m walking or reflecting a bit. It reminds me that even simple things in life can make you feel lucky. ✨ Your turn. Share the song that lifts your mood — and tell us why 🎧😊
🎶 Mini-Challenge: What Song Always Puts You in a Good Mood?
There's a specific song that puts me in a good mood almost instantly. It is, in my opinion, one of the happiest songs of all time, and that is "In the Summertime", by Mungo Jerry. It's from 1970, and its melody is very happy. There is also a piano there, giving some beach vibes...really interesting!
@Gabriel Silva I used to listen to the song before starting to work. It helped me get into the flow, become more focused, and it really enhanced my energy. It's been a while since I listened to this song...
🌆🌿 Mini-Challenge: City Life or Country Life — Which Do You Prefer?
📝 Your Task: This is an opinion + explanation challenge. 👉 Please: • Answer in your target language • Say whether you prefer living in the city or in the country • Explain why (go beyond one sentence) • You can mention lifestyle, pace, people, nature, noise, work, etc. • Try on your own first • Use AI as needed There’s no right answer — just share what fits you. ❓ The Question Do you prefer living in the city or in the country? Why? ✨ Example Answer (English) I prefer living in the city because I like having everything close by. I enjoy the energy, the cafés, and the feeling that something is always happening. That said, I also understand why people love the countryside — it’s calmer and closer to nature. For now, though, city life suits me better. ✨ Your turn. City or country — pick a side and explain your choice 🌆🌿
🌆🌿 Mini-Challenge: City Life or Country Life — Which Do You Prefer?
I prefer the country life without a doubt! I love being close to nature, the fresh air, the animals, the silence... I said before I want to be financially free. I'd say my second biggest goal is to live in the countryside, more specifically in a farm! I love hiking trails in the middle of the nature. I also love the idea of drinking a cup of coffee while reading a book (maybe studying another language), and having that beautiful landscape in front of me! For now, I go from time to time to a hotel farm, and it's fantastic!
@Gabriel Silva Honestly, I believe the farm itself will be used mainly as a peaceful place to live, recharge, and study. I also want to have natural products, but more for self-consumption. You know, "No chemistry allowed"...
