A class can bus issue
Hi everybody looking some advice on this w176 a class. So on the dashboard it says airbag light fault and active bonnet malfunction (safety device for a crash). Diagnostic scan done with genuine xentry, scan tool showed no faults for active bonnet malfunction and in the airbag ecu showed a fault for internal fault in airbag ecu. All can bus block connectors show 2.3v and 2.7v apart from this black and white can bus block connector. It shows 2.4v and 2.5v. Scoped the can bus via breakout box at 16 pin obd and it shows in my opinion a bad waveform pattern. Also the carpet was heavily soaked and removed from the car, this canbus connector earth had some green corrosion but cut out and replaced but still no difference. Any ideas where to go next?

I don’t think the can looks that bad mate,if you can talk to everything and no module have can faults listed it sound like it has an internal fault in the airbag module.

@Jonathan Murray most of the inputs for the active bonnet come from the airbag module so it does not surprise me that it’s showing a fault on the dash
