Our French week continues and today I will talk about 10 phrases that you should try know if you're gonna like travel around friends or if you have some French friends to surprise them or whatever basically you should know them)) 1. Bonjour/Bonsoir: (bohn-zhoor / bohn-swahr) - Hello/Good evening You can start any convo with this basically and its polite really recommend it I feel like almost everyone knows it 2. Merci: (mehr-see) - Thank you Expressing gratitude is always important and you will probably say this the most 3. S'il vous plaît: (seel voo প্লে) - Please Politely making a request. Politeness goes super far 4. Excusez-moi: (eks-kyoo-zay-mwah) - Excuse me Use to get someone's attention, apologize, or navigate a crowded space. I knew this word since like 4 years old just because for some reason my mom always said it lol 5. Où est...? (oo ay...) - Where is...? • Où sont...? (oo sohn...) - Where are...? (plural) • Example: "Où est la gare?" (Where is the train station?) This is SUPER simple and I recommend to learn it • Example: "Où sont les toilettes?" (Where are the toilets?) 6. Combien coûte...? (kohm-bee-ahn koot...) - How much does... cost? Example: "Combien coûte ce livre?" (How much does this book cost?) If you're shopping this is NECESSARY 7. Je voudrais... (zhuh voo-dray...) - I would like... Polite way to order or ask for something. Example: "Je voudrais un café, s'il vous plaît." (I would like a coffee, please.) 8. Parlez-vous anglais? (pahr-lay voo ahn-glay?) - Do you speak English? Useful if you're struggling to communicate in French. 9.
