That's how I got into the test screening for Mamma Mia a while before the movie came out. A friend of mine was going to go with me but since seating wasn't guaranteed she opted not to come. Meanwhile I got to see the movie a couple months ahead of it's theatrical release. Only bad part of seeing it so early was I was going to have to wait until the movie came out to get the movie version of the soundtrack. And other time I was redeeming points through a rewards program at work using their concierge service. I was technically a few points short of their minimum threshold for the concierge service as opposed to just picking stuff from an online catalog. The main reason I was redeeming was because it was the pandemic, I had a large number of points and I wasn't sure if I was going back to work or not. I decided I wanted to go with a new camera and a lens for it. I estimated I had more than enough points for both, so I sent in an email asking if it could be done. I got back a quote of what they would charge me in points for it and I also noticed for the lens they were going to order it from B&H so I sent in an email request asking if they would switch the lens purchase to a different sku at B&H because they usually have multiple listings for a lens, and the sku I was suggesting added a couple of free accessories that didn't increase the price, and they did. I got my new camera, the fancy new lens, and some extra accessories all because I asked. And another great example was when I quit the casino, I sent in a request to friends in the security department if it could be possible to get a drone photo of me standing on the rooftop of the hotel tower with the giant sign on the front of the building. It took a while to go back and forth and in the end, it came back as a yes. If you've ever seen the old Walt Disney World commercials with Mickey on top of the Epcot sphere, it was kind of like that but far less dangerous.
