Day 5
Day 5 done. 🌩️✨ Biggest thing the assessment showed me: I run one voice in my head 🗣️ that turns every kind of friction into a verdict about who I am. Burn a pan 🍳 → stupid. Miss a word from my right ear 👂 → boring. Forget something 🧠 → lazy. The friction is real. The verdict is a habit. 🔁 Evidence against the old story 📚: CNA in 3 months while pregnant 🤰. Six years working it 💪. Cohorts 3, 3.5, now here again 🔄. I don't quit what's alive in front of me. 🌱

That’s great @Stormee Willett I need to finish 3.5 before 4.0. Crazy week this week. I’m proof of your progress. Keep it up!!!!
Linda got her🔥 back
Awesome job @Linda Trup on getting your flame back. I hope to someday get that. It’s been since April since I joined. I’ll go a week and then make 9 interactions and I have to start over. We’ll see how it goes this time. I will try and focus on being more involved in there. Y’all are my peeps! Hopefully, you Brits understand that phrase. You are a bit more sophisticated than us Floridians. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Logistics for a day I don't want to arrive
Daily Check-in - 2026-09-07 Activities 🛏️ Good Sleep, 🥗 Healthy Eating, 📵 No Social Media, 📋 Planned Day, 👥 Quality Time, 🤝 Helped Someone, 👂 Active Listening Scores 😊 Happiness: 4/10 ⚡ Energy: 5/10 🎯 Focus: 5/10 😌 Calmness: 4/10 🌙 Sleep Quality: 5/10 🔥 Motivation: 5/10 Reflection Monday was surreal. It felt like it wasn't happening and I didn't want it to happen. Talking to the funeral directors, choosing the casket, deciding on the date, time and logistics were all functions that weren't aimed at me being allowed to grieve. I didn't want to go through this process. It still feels like my anchor has been ripped away. And then the guilt that hit at the end of the day when Dad's youngest brother phoned and wanted to speak to him. He hadn't been keeping up with the group updates that we'd been sending out. The silence on the phone was gut wrenching. Then he thought that he wasn't allowed to come as it was family only. We were quick to point out that he IS family. Just not sure how he's going to get up here as it's a 5 hour drive and he has Parkinson's. We left him to call Dad's only other living brother who lives in the South Island. We know they got the message. They may not be able to get up here quickly as flights could be difficult to organise. We shall wait and see.

@Leonie Osborne you accomplished a lot with the arrangements of something you never want to have to arrange. Hopefully, it becomes more a celebration of life and not too somber for everyone. We love you and the family. We’re here or we’ll see you on something in Skool soon, if you can.
As of 5:15pm EDT my two loops are closed!
I was able to check out one of them online, so that saved a phone call. The other was what I anticipated, however, the rep gave me instructions on how to request what I was looking for through a claim request, and told me what to click to get it into the right area. So, I've accomplished two things today and it feels great. And, I completed them both before starting day 5 questions for the full assessment.

@Francine Jolette thank you.
The Cost of “Simple” Tasks
I’m finally realizing that a task being simple doesn’t necessarily mean it’s easy. Sometimes the task only takes five minutes, but seems there are twenty invisible steps first: remembering it, switching focus, finding what I need, deciding where to start, overcoming the fight to not start, and then actually doing it. No wonder a “five-minute task” can take half the day to get started. Does anyone else mentally calculate tasks by how much activation energy they require rather than how long they actually take?

ADHD Harmony helped me learn that ADHD isn't only hyperactivity or focus issues. I've been masking symptoms since I was 6 and didn't even know it.
