Most people think the hard part is winning the contract. That is only half true. The part nobody talks about enough is what happens after you win. Labels. Packaging. RFID. IUID. C-folders. Tech Data System access. JCP. Enhanced JCP. SDRs. MIL-STD-129. The stuff that sounds boring until it costs you time, money, and a bad reputation with the people receiving your product. They are so focused on getting the award that they do not build the process to survive fulfillment. And DLA does not care that you are new. If your packaging is wrong, they may repackage it, send you a letter, request remediation, or charge based on the labor, time, and materials it took to fix your mistake. So the move is simple: - Stop treating post-award compliance like admin work. It is part of the contract.
