🎧 My Audible Royalty Experiment
I'm still not sure how I feel about the new audiobook royalty changes. Technically, I don't have to enroll my titles right now. I could wait until the end of the year and make a decision later. On the other hand, if you choose to opt out completely, it appears that you'd need to remove your audiobooks from Audible altogether. Rather than making a decision based on emotion or speculation, I've decided to run a test. I enrolled five of my lower-performing audiobooks into the new program. These are titles that haven't generated a significant number of sales or listens, so I feel comfortable using them as a test group while protecting the books that are already performing well. My thinking is simple: if these audiobooks become available through the all-you-can-listen membership, they may get exposure from listeners who otherwise never would have discovered them. More listeners could potentially mean more engagement, more reviews, and hopefully more revenue. Over the next few months, I'll be tracking downloads, listens, and earnings to see what actually happens. If the results are positive, I may consider enrolling additional titles. If not, I'll be glad I tested with my underperformers first instead of risking books that are already selling. For now, I'm taking a "measure first, decide later" approach. 👉 Are any of you planning to enroll your audiobooks, opt out, or wait and see what happens?

@Krista Brea Exactly 👏✨ I think that's what makes your approach so sensible. You're protecting the titles that are already performing while gathering real-world data on books that have less to lose and potentially more to gain from increased exposure 📚💛 And who knows? Being an early adopter sometimes comes with advantages that aren't obvious at the beginning. If Audible pushes these titles harder inside the platform, you could benefit from visibility that wasn't available before. At the very least, you'll be making your next decision based on evidence instead of speculation—and that's always a stronger position to be in 😊✨

STEAL THIS PROMPT TO CREATE YOUR IMAGE AND SHARE IT IN THE COMMENTS! Create a realistic, high-quality scene of [ATTACHED IMAGE] as a successful published author. They are sitting confidently behind a table at a book signing or author event, smiling proudly. On the table in front of them is their published book titled '[BOOK TITLE]' standing upright and clearly visible. Multiple copies of the book are neatly displayed around it. The author is holding a large Amazon royalty check in their hand showing '$[ROYALTY AMOUNT]' as the payout amount. The check should look professional and celebratory. Their facial expression shows pride, accomplishment, gratitude, and excitement after achieving success as an author. Include subtle details of success in the background such as conference attendees, bookshelves, author branding, people waiting in line, or banners celebrating the book launch. Cinematic lighting, realistic details, inspirational atmosphere, professional photography style. ----------------------------------------------------------- PS - If you noticed I changed my profile picture that is because I had our amazing community member @Cristal Vancarson give me some fresh headshots virtually. She only charges $50 for a session where you get on a zoom call and she guides you through posing for the headshots. Skool Owners ... If You Want Paid Members DO THIS!
The truth is, if you want more paid members in your Skool community, you need a strategy. Even when I launch books on Amazon, I don't just throw them out there and hope for the best. I have a pricing strategy, positioning strategy, and launch strategy behind it. Ever since I started working with @Mona Weathers and learning her approach to pricing offers and launching consistently inside of Skool, it has been helping me bring in more paid members to my community. One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is creating an offer based on what they want to sell instead of what their audience actually wants to buy. Studies consistently show that businesses with a strong understanding of their audience tend to see significantly stronger revenue growth because their messaging and offers connect with the right people. When you know your audience, understand their pain points, and create an offer that feels like the obvious next step, selling starts to feel much more natural. Mona is hosting a FREE workshop inside of her community on 📆 May 22nd at 2 PM Eastern Time. In less than a year, she made over $10K in a brand-new niche starting completely from scratch, and in this workshop she's breaking down exactly how she did it. ➡️ No huge audience. ➡️ No fancy funnels. ➡️ No complicated sales tactics. Just simple strategies that help move members from free to paid in a natural way. 👉 👉 👉 JOIN NEXT LEVEL GROWTH HUB

Progress Comes From Action 📚🔥
🔥You get out what you put in. I wanted to take a few minutes to recognize some community members who are taking what they’ve learned and actually putting it into motion. Results don’t happen because you join a community, buy a course, or save a post. Results happen when you take action. 📣 @Gemma Coles (my VIP client) launched her book in less than 8 weeks. She’s already seeing sales, working on gathering reviews, actively marketing her book, and she's already thinking about the next one. That's publisher thinking. @Pat Terrell followed the lessons inside Premium and used the step-by-step process to get her book published and live on Amazon. @Gale Bates started by moving her planner from only being sold on her own website over to Amazon KDP, making it easier for people around the world to buy it. Since then, she’s already moved into launching a children’s book and has plans for more. @Tara Adler joined the call last night where I was able to help with some keyword research (replay coming soon 👀). She’s actively working on multiple books at once... and no, not ideal Tara is just an overachiever 😂 @Jim Flach has some great ideas in the works and decided to start with a children’s book in his niche so he could move through the process more quickly and learn by doing. 🎉 There are many people in this community making progress, and every small step matters. Whether you're writing, researching, designing, publishing, or marketing — movement creates momentum. The people taking action are moving closer to launch goals and sales goals. The people sitting on the sidelines? Those goals stay exactly where they are. "You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to become great." Drop a comment below and tell us: What is ONE thing you're working on right now? 👇

Considering a cover change
I'm considering changing the cover on the main book. At a recent book fair, people mostly assumed it was for kids under 8, but it’s actually targeted toward 10-year-olds (8-13). The first cover is the one that's on Amazon right now and I do about five sales a day. The second cover is not the final version, just something I created with ChatGPT as a potential alternative. Would love to know your thoughts.
