Using Brand Storytelling to Connect My Books, Products, and Audience
Quick launch-week reflection: I created this Reel as part of the relaunch content for my creative lifestyle brand, Kismet Wonders. One thing I’m realizing is that my books, journals, Substack, podcast-style reflections, and products are not separate pieces. They are all connected through the same themes: self-expression, identity, rebuilding, softness, confidence, and becoming. Instead of only showing products, I’m trying to communicate the world behind the brand first. The idea behind this Reel is simple: I didn’t want Kismet Wonders to feel like a typical online store. I wanted it to feel like a world — part fashion, part art, part self-expression, and part becoming. As an author and creator, I’m learning that the story around the work matters just as much as the product itself. For those of you building an author platform or creative business, have you found that story-led content helps move people closer to your books, offers, or products?

Grand arising! During Monday’s call, I mentioned that I would be in a pitch competition during at the graduation. I was selected out of 79 founders to pitch in front of the room with about business owners at The Buckhead Club. I secured a spot in the top 10 selected to pitch live. Out of top 10, I earned 3rd place. It was truly an honor, especially since it was my first time presenting my business in a competition. I’m really proud of this achievement.
