Ask Lynne: Health Educator
Have you ever left a medical appointment with a diagnosis, test result, or report with no idea what it meant? ❌ Confusing medical language ❌ Too many unanswered questions ❌ No idea what to ask next This community helps you make sense of your health information in clear, everyday language and lends support with health issues. After 31 years as an RPN/LPN and medical transcriptionist, I help people understand their health in plain, everyday language. Knowing means better self advocacy and better outcomes. Ask Lynne is a health education community helping you feel informed, less overwhelmed and better prepared to talk with your provider. It doesn't replace medical care or diagnosis.

I love how clearly you've defined who this community is for and what people can expect. One thing that is so inviting is your focus on helping people understand their health information in everyday language. That's such an important bridge. Medical appointments can feel overwhelming, and it's easy to leave with more questions than answers. Having someone who can help people make sense of what they're hearing, so they can advocate for themselves and have more informed conversations with their provider, is incredibly valuable. Wishing you continued success, Lynne!

🚀 New to Skool? Don't Do This
One of the biggest mistakes I see new Skool owners make is focusing on the classroom before the community. 👍 If you enjoy the video, I'd really appreciate a like, a comment, and a subscription! It really helps YouTube share my videos with more entrepreneurs. And let me know your biggest takeaway (or any questions) in the comments below the video. ❤️ It's tempting to spend weeks creating courses, lessons, and resources before you even have members. But in my experience, that's the wrong way around. Your community should come first. The conversations, the engagement, and the feedback from your members will tell you exactly what to build next. In this short video, I share the three things I'd focus on instead if I were starting a Skool community from scratch today. 🎥 Watch it here: https://youtu.be/MdXIO0PBtLo I'd love to hear from you: What's the biggest challenge you're facing with your Skool community right now? 👇

I think you've highlighted one of the biggest traps new community owners fall into. We've been researching community growth, and one pattern keeps showing up. The strongest communities don't start with the biggest classroom. They start with the best conversations. Every question a member asks is a clue. Every challenge they share is research. Every small win points to the next resource that's actually worth creating. When you build your classroom from those conversations, you're no longer guessing what people need. You're responding to what they've already told you. Great reminder that community isn't something you add after the content. It's what shapes the content in the first place.
VOCs: Inside and Outside Your Home
Ever wonder what's really in the air you breathe at home? Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) come from everyday sources like paint, cleaning products, and new furniture — as well as outdoor sources like vehicle exhaust and gasoline vapors. Some VOCs are linked to short and long-term health effects, and can be especially concerning for those with asthma or COPD. Curious what's contributing to your indoor air quality, and simple ways to improve it? Today in the Ask Lynne: Health Educator community we are talking about our environment and how it affects our health.

@Lynne Vella Allergies are miserable. Grew up on a farm. Could not be outside when grass was mowed. Thankfully, I have outgrown much of it!
Your Environment & Your Health
Is your own home quietly working against your health? Dust, cleaners, mold, water — the everyday things in your space could be affecting you more than you think, and most people never even think to ask. This week, Ask Lynne: Health Educator is breaking it down in plain language — come find out more inside the community.
