I watched @Lisa Vanderveen return to YouTube video about Business PTSD last night. She shared a lot. The hard parts of building businesses. The things that didn’t work. The things that did. The times she had to start over. The lessons she’s carrying forward. But honestly, the thing that stayed with me most wasn’t any particular business lesson. It was Lisa. She is just so unapologetically HER. ❤️ There’s no sense that she’s trying to sound like somebody else, fit herself into somebody else’s formula, or polish away the parts of herself that might be a little different. I think that may be one of her greatest strengths as she builds this next chapter. We talk so much in business about finding our differentiator. Our unique value. Our “purple cow.” The thing that makes people stop and pay attention. Sometimes I wonder if we make that harder than it needs to be. Maybe sometimes the thing that makes us different is the part of ourselves we finally stop trying to tone down. Watching Lisa made me think about that. And Lisa, I’m really excited to have a front-row seat as you grow, multiply and amplify everything that is so wonderfully YOU. ❤️ I’m curious about the rest of us, too. What part of YOU might actually be an advantage in your business if you stopped trying to make it fit?
