@Vasi Smith definitely interested…. Need to catch up today!!
It’s Not about Calories in/Calories Out, It’s about Blood Sugar and Insulin
This may sound controversial to some of you, but thinking purely about the number of calories you’re ingesting is NOT an effective way to release weight, at least not in a sustainable or healthy way. For sustainable weight loss, the quality of calories you’re consuming is more important than the quantity. Are more of your calories coming from natural foods that are close to nature (like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats and proteins), or are you ingesting processed/man made foods with every meal? You can guess which category helps more with releasing weight! It’s actually more useful to consider blood sugar balance and insulin efficiency than calories in/calories out. Dr. Jason Fung describes why in the video below. What do you think about this concept? Is it familiar or is it new to you? How can you implement it in your own weight release/wellness journey?

Announcing- Fast for Your Health Day! Friday, Aug. 29
Fasting supports your body in balancing blood sugar, rebooting your immune system, creating insulin efficiency, clearing dead cells through autophagy, and releasing stubborn weight that is hard to access through other means. Through Intermittent Fasting and Mindset play, I’ve released 70 pounds in less than 6 months. And I’ve been so much healthier since I’ve started. I no longer get the flus and colds that are going around, and I have less allergic reactions to things like mold. @Maxwell Riseman had the awesome idea that we could do a Day of Fasting across multiple communities. So, here we are! Whoever wants to join can fast with us, Fast for Your Health Day - Friday, August 29th! I will post some ideas for getting the most out of your fast starting next week. I’ll also be sharing who SHOuLdn’t be fasting, though you can always join us in spirit and for moral support! If you’re an individual who’d like to join, would love to do this together with you! If you have a community and would like your community to be part of it, feel free to copy and paste this announcement in your community. Who shouldn’t fast at all? Pregnant or nursing women, or anyone who is malnourished. Folks with an eating disorder should have therapist support if embarking on this. If you’ve had gallbladder surgery or other kinds of surgery, would be good to consult with a doctor before doing a fast. What do you think? Are you in?

I have done this before and had great results. I used to intermittent fast 16/8 daily too. I felt it was good but since falling off years ago and trying to get back into it during perimenopause I have read that women with imbalanced hormones should wake up and eat 30g of protein within an hour or hour and half of waking. I am so torn with what I should do.....
