WHAT ARE YOUR CHALLENGES?
Most writers don’t struggle because they lack ideas. They struggle because they’ve been staring at the same manuscript for so long that they can no longer see what’s working and what’s weakening the story. Sometimes the pacing feels off but you can’t explain why. Sometimes the dialogue sounds right in your head but flat on the page. Sometimes you know a chapter is missing something, but you can’t identify it. That’s a normal part of the writing process. I’m curious: What’s been the hardest part of writing your current book? Is it: • pacing • character development • consistency • editing • finishing the manuscript • self-doubt • publishing • something else entirely? Writers, drop your biggest challenge below. I’d love to hear what stage you’re currently navigating.

Hello lovely, well!! For my story writing I seem to have the image, the plot, the story line all in my head at once. So I just write. Then later Ill to come back. Then I will try and get the formation correct. Then i will go back and further develop characters etc. My main struggle is the editing and the structure. I always know what I want to say and the image I want to create. But then self doubt kicks in so it usually then gets put on the shelf 🫣

For poetry ( my fave) i have grown so much confidence. I love my own style of writing... A lot just jumps in my mind so that that how I write it. However I do like to push myself and really research the subject and come up with different descriptions and perspectives. I find this all so easy. It just comes naturally xx How about you ?

@Liora Vale i surprised myself...My biggest piece of advice for anybody writing is to do it for yourself.... Don't worry about opinions or judgement at first. Write it your way discover your own style.
