Don't Just Stand There...
Or maybe you should. A standing practice can go a long way toward repairing an abused body. Practices like "Wuji" or "Zhan Zhuang" are all about allowing the body to return to it's natural alignment. There are many details to consider, but this video is a pretty good place to start. Coming soon there will be a course breaking down some of the specific alignments in more detail. ENJOY. *And as always, feel free to ask questions, share wins and/or struggles, voice concerns, or whatever else comes to mind.πŸ™

@Jake Hill @Tiffany Joyner Hi guys, Thank you! Yes, Tiffany I saw you joined the community! I'm excited. I've been super busy and haven't had the chance to welcome new members this week. I will reach out to you soon! For now, Falafel is so delicious! I like to soak my chickpeas for a couple of days, replacing the water every 24 hours (in the fridge, of course). Sometimes I'll even go longer and leave them out one night for them to sprout then process them in a robot coupe (food processor). They will cook in the frying process so I don't ever cook them first. I hope that helps! Also, fasting is very powerful and books are my favorite thing in the world! 😊
Tai Chi Loops - Form Opening / Hold The Ball
Here are a couple of simple opening movements to play with. The first is often called "Opening the Door". Maybe it's a garage door? As you sink your weight down, the hands float up. As you rise up, the hands drop. The second is called "Holding the Ball" or "Embracing the Moon". Think of holding a yoga ball or beach ball. There is a roundness to the position and the ball is three dimensional. If you were holding the moon, it would be heavy and you would sink from the weight. ENJOY.πŸ™

MM.. FOOD! - Who here eats it?! 😎
If YOU do, check out Longevity Kitchen!πŸ’ͺπŸ₯· from your fellow Tai Chi Player @Andre Uribe He has recipes and a lot of great tips about what is or isn't actually food and how to properly prepare it. AND how to not spend ALL of your time and energy doing it. He also has a great YouTube channel and is planning big things for the upcoming New Year!πŸ₯³ Professional athletes have taken his guidance, Tai Chi Players can benefit too.πŸ™

#Conversations w/ Each Other & Ourselves
This is an excerpt from a conversation I had outside the community. I'm sharing it here because I think conversations can have a lot of value. Differing viewpoints can challenge us and what we "think" we "know". That is how we grow. I'm not sharing the other person's words because they are theirs and not mine. These are direct responses to the questions and comments contained within those words. As such they are a little out of context but I think you can get the jist of it. If you have any conversations elsewhere that you think would have value to the community here, feel free to share them under #Conversations and maybe someone will find value in the perspectives. πŸ’₯ And so begins: ⚑️ Thank you for your time and input. We all have much to give and much to learn. Life is co-dependent. There is no separation between one thing or another. There is no "God" vs. "Tai Chi", there is only one whole and the different labels we place upon things in our attempts to understand what we already know. I hope you continue to learn and grow and aren't afraid to face the discomfort that can come with that. Good luck on your journey. Enjoy.✌️ ⚑️ There is no my God or yours. Only attempts to define that which cannot be defined. Or stories of advanced life forms which could be called "aliens", or in some cases metaphors, but either way books are often attempts to explain what can only be experienced. ⚑️ Where did you get "nothing" from? More like everything. Imagine trying to describe everything with a single word. That is the attempt to define that which cannot be defined. Words are inadequate to describe experience. πŸ’₯ Continued in the comments below...

@Jake Hill Nice man. My dad told me when I was a kid that I should live a life that one day would be turn into a book, so my job is to make each chapter very interesting. It sounds like you are doing the same! 🀘
Ready Player One
Are you ready? Just watched this movie and while it's not a Kung Fu flick in the traditional sense, it does have some action and speaks to the world we live in and the one we're headed toward. Keep it real.πŸ’― The real world is the only thing that's real.πŸ”‘ We need real connection and in places like this one and spaces like Tai Chi, we can find it. You are the hero of your story and this is your journey. There are no NPCs, just people sharing an experience trying to figure out what to make of it. Don't try too hard. Don't take yourself or life itself too seriously. It's not that serious. None of us make it out alive. Sometimes we'd all like to transport ourselves to magical far off lands but if we can stay grounded and keep our balance when life throws things our way, this place is already pretty magical sometimes. Adapt and overcome. You got this.πŸ₯· Players play the game, play to play, and play to win.πŸ₯‡ Have FUN.⚑️ Peace Up ✌️ & One Love πŸ™
