How to fuel with repeated weighins
Hi, we are new to the HS circuit and our wrestler has 7 weighins over 10 days....he has completed the first three and his performance struggled last night due to just not eating...he has another flat weighin tomorrow followed by a 2 day tournament where he will get allowances. Then flat weight again next Tuesday... we are in dire helpn with how best to fuel, hydrate, etc without crashing and floating up over 3-4 lbs...

Wow that is a tough one. I would say weigh in, do the proper refuel, wrestle and then try to keep the sweat rolling right after. From there check weight and see what makes sense. I would lean on a lot of protein, oils, and white rice/rice cakes as they keep the scale weight down!
1 hour window after weigh- ins.
If you have one hour window after weigh ins for a dual meet, what would be the best carb intake for best results?

You would want about 60g, so something like 1/2 a bagel and a banana would be good!
