@Wyatt Kaldenberg I don't know about just University educated, though there is a clear attempt in Unis to push people that way. The mainstream media industry on the other hand is very captured by modern and far left wing ideology, and they have been getting rapidly worse in recent years in line with the rise of modern radical left wing capture elsewhere. That is why were are seeing such a surge in right wing independent media, and the falling interest in Hollywood and Mainstream news, people are so sick of their holier then thou preachy patronising hypocrisy.

@Daniel Bell That sounds like BS happening at the top, which wouldn't surprise me at all. Stuff I've been hearing about is in the upper-middle layers and below - directors, producers, and down from them. So, so many stories and accounts of radical left BS, with clear consumer level impacts across multiple news companies and entertainment outlets, like BBC, CBS, Netflix, Disney, Paramount, ect. To clarify, I'm not being tribal here. I come from a left wing background, and as far as I am concerned, the state of the modern left, such as all the media and entertainment BS I see and hear, is an utter betrayal of every value I was raised with and thought the left held when I was a kid/teen/tween. Everything I see of the modern left is a cesspit of racism, bigotry, persecution, toxicity, and tremendous harm to both individuals and society at large - and if they aren't perpetrating it themselves, then they are bending backwards for the sake of people who are. I hate the modern left, because as far as I am concerned, what that has become is an utter betrayal of everything good they still claim to embody, and I despise hypocrisy.

Happiness is the journey, not the destination. Purpose and meaning bring happiness. Happiness is not a one-time event; it is an ongoing mission of achieving goals.

Been saying for a long time, humans have a work drive. Hobbies are a form of work, and when you look at the tasks people do in games, that often qualifies as a form of work too. We need some form of productivity to be healthy, we need to be doing things, achieving things. We need work, but work in a way that satisfies the need for accomplishment, which many modern jobs lack, or has become too abstracted (a pay check in the bank regularly doesn't hit the same).
The UK is Rejecting the Left
BREAKING: Reform UK is SMASHING Labour and the far-left in the local elections. Unprecedented results are unfolding by the hour. Britain rejects the radical left and surges toward nationalism. It’s happening, the British are taking their country back. https://x.com/thebritlad/status/2052774082052042998?s=46&t=gT6uLhaVod8uwzT4p6povA

@Amanda T Off the top of my ehad with tired zombie brain; Blackbelt Barrister is a law-tuber who covers UK legal issues, and politics. He is sided with Rupert Lowe. Tousi covers UK politics. His videos are split between that and Iran.

Women on the road
Anyone notice how vehicular accidents have skyrocketed since women were given the right to drive??? Weird….

They always said women wearing trousers would be bad for society. First bloomers, now global warming! We should have kept the layers! There would be no need for heating if we still had layers!

@B T True facts! There is a reason why the Cancan was so scandalous - split crotch draws. That middle seam was not a seam, it was a flap for ease of bathroom use in poofy skirts.
What's the deal with elephants?
Do you know abut The elephant in the room? The silence surrounding the 'elephant' is what perpetuates the problem. To solve a problem, the first step is acknowledging its existence. 'Naming' the problem, saying what everyone is not saing. Then real work toward a solution begins. This is one of the most important skills in leadership and critical thinking: the ability to identify what everyone is trying to suppress, and to find the right, courageous, and effective way to bring it to the surface. From here, we need to be careful not to fall to the second trap The parable of the blind men and the elephant is a timeless story of Indian origin that explores the subjective nature of truth and the limitations of human perception. The Narrative. A group of blind men are asked to describe an elephant by touch. Because they have never encountered one before, each man explores a different part of the animal and draws his own conclusion based on that limited contact. The story illustrates that while each individual's observation is technically "true" based on their specific experience, it is an incomplete representation of the whole. It highlights how easily we mistake our limited, subjective perspectives for objective truth. It encourages intellectual humility, suggesting that to understand a complex reality whether in politics, social issues, or interpersonal relationships, one must synthesize the diverse, often conflicting viewpoints of others rather than insisting on the exclusivity of one's own. Good luck to all of us .

I really like this, and it came at a time that is really pertinent for me. Thank you for this, Hila. May I copy this to discord as a reminder to myself, with credit to you?

@Jilly Galili Armin has his old server which can be accessed by his youtube links, though I never see anyone in voice chat over there - it's also still very atheist centric so as someone who is not an atheist I feel kinda uncomfortable over there, esp as many things over there are not just atheist but anti-theist and anti-spiritual. I recently made a general server for people who use the Skool voice chat and want more time and opportunity to talk/socialise/debate, but that is new and so also not very busy yet. Other people have also filtered over to discord form this Skool group but I don't know of another general server, just some smaller specialised ones or friend based groups. Dunno if I can link my new one here with the rules, dunno if it qualifies as self promotion, but I will post it when I am in the skool voice chat on the open days (I can only attend the open days, I'm in the UK so don't want to link my finances to a political site).
