My first assessment
I just finished my first AI assessment conversation! (ok it was kind of like a trial run).... I hit up my insurance broker, and asked to speak with her about AI and her work. She was open to it. We spoke for about 30m and I asked her a set of questions about AI, her work and so on. The biggest issue that we seemed to run up against was that her agency has put a hard lock down on using any AI in her work, due to sensitivity of client data. Wondering if many of you have found something similar in the businesses that you speak with? I've attached an anonymized list of the questions if anyone is curious. Hope it's helpful!

@Malik Ahmed Others have shared with me as well that there may be less of a concern if we can prove the privacy can be handled.
Introducing myself
Hey everyone — Wanted to introduce myself here. I’m David, based in Vancouver, Canada. Great to be here. My background is in business and consulting. I started my career with Sony in Japan, later completed an MBA, and spent about six years with Deloitte in Vancouver before moving into smaller consulting and entrepreneurial projects. For a while I was focused heavily in online business. I decided to start a job search a couple of weeks ago, and thought to myself, there has to be a better way - I opted to search for a way to do it with AI, and got into my very first n8n automation. I was immediately blown away by the power of AI models coupled with automation tools like n8n, and knew this was a powerful capability. Since then I lost interest in finding a job, and am now looking at starting up my own practice. I've got a heavy consulting background, having worked at Deloitte, and then some smaller consulting companies. But now I feel like I've got something to focus it around. Right now, I’m exploring the AI automation agency model and doing customer discovery to understand where the highest-value opportunities actually are. My initial focus is professional services businesses — starting with accounting firms, where I have some existing experience and relationships — but I’m deliberately keeping the aperture fairly broad while I learn. I’m especially interested in the intersection between AI automation, business process improvement, and solving real operational problems. My consulting background naturally has me thinking less about “selling AI” and more about diagnosing the business problem first and then figuring out where AI or automation can genuinely create value. I’m currently building, experimenting, talking to business owners, and figuring out what a strong offer and go-to-market approach looks like. Looking forward to learning from everyone here, seeing what others are building, and connecting with people who are at a similar stage or further down the road.

@Okasha Khan Thank you! How's your experience been so far in the community?
Potential first client landed on first discovery call using the "AI audit" frame
Hey community, just wanted to share an early and first win. I started on this community a few days ago. Consumed the first part of the training, and decided to try my hand at the AI automation agency frame. Today I had a call with the owner of a 12 person bookkeeping firm. It was positioned as a catch-up call. I used it to frame my current shift into AI and how that can be used to help businesses. His response was yes that often falls on the founder. I asked him where in his business was the annoying work, and he immediately talked about visibility problems of keeping track of all his clients, and the desire to have a consolidated dashboard. This could turn into my first client project. Excited for the journey and thanks for following along!

"Building is a commodity now." - what do you think?
A member wrote that line last week, and it might be one of the most important sentences posted in this community all month. Here's it in plain english: building is getting easy. So easy that anyone with the right mindset can do it. People with no technical background, more than ever are launching working systems. When I started the AAA Business Model a few years ago this was not the case. But that's changed. If the only thing you offer is "I can build it," that offer is losing value every single month. The real value has shifted. It's sitting across from a real business owner, showing them where they're losing time and money, and earning enough trust that they say yes. Tools can't do that. AI can't do that. Only you can. So here's my question to you: What can you do that the tools can't? Not what you hope. What you can prove. Drop your answer below. If you can't name it, that's the next skill to build. Talk soon.

Totally agree - it's AI expertise partnered with business expertise. It's the diagnosis, framing and business acumen. Pairing AI with key business knowledge around marketing, sales, operations, finance, and the ones that drive outcomes - those are the ones that are going to lead.
