I think we can all agree that this week has been crazy busy. Some were in Brenda's AI Summit and some just had a very, very busy week. The good news is that we can keep going and catch up with things here on Skool. Sooooo.... what do you say? (Answer in the poll)

Yes, 4 countries in 15 years and everytime you need to make new friends. Start over. Build a network. So you have to find your people. Originally it was Facebook groups. I would scour the internet to find the mommy and me classes and later on the business for moms groups. Now, as we plan to leave for Dubai - I'm not looking at Facebook anymore. I'm looking at Skool. I can use the map function to find like minded people, groups that support us and hopefully get to meet some members IRL. I also have a place to return to - my communities online - in my back pocket - no starting over. So, if you could meet anyone from Skool IRL, who would it be? (*Let's assume that transporter from Star Trek is real)

I don't know if it's just the time of year or the time of life. Last week I had so many conversations about how women have been burned out by social media. How it makes them feel anxious, stresses their nervous system, and how they hate it. As someone who has worked in the industry for 15 years, I understand all the information that is thrown at us all the time. The rule used to be that you needed seven touch points to make a conversion; now it's something ridiculous like 77. People are reacting physically in a negative way when thinking about being visible and showing themselves on camera. It makes me very sad because social media was not meant for this. Social media was meant to be a community space, similar to Skool, where we could share on Instagram our beautiful photographs, our food, our trips, our love for anything, and people would rally around that. It was the same with Facebook groups, and if you go back, even MySpace was a place to share with people. So it makes me quite sad that something meant to bring people together has been corrupted. AND I just want you to remember that you have the power. Social media is only a tool, and you can go as fast or as slow as you want. You don't have to listen to everybody, especially to people who don't live the same life you do. Remember, social media fits into your life. You allow it into yours. That's your power.
