Seeking to collab with others for a 'first 100 members' summit
Hi all -- it's come to my attention that there are a TON of Skool founders who have thrown open the doors with no launch prep or audience building and now have 8 members. I'm thinking about putting together a summit to help them get 100 members with a focused relaunch! Who should I invite to speak at this type of a summit? Thinking about doing in August. TIA!

Do you have a community for professional women?
Specifically for those who feel like they have to do it all and are starting to buckle under the weight? I know you’re out there because I’ve talked to you, but the names of the communities are eluding me! @Victor Jackson has responded to our #Connections prompt today and is looking for something for his wife. See his heartfelt post here: https://www.skool.com/classifieds/connectionssection-support-for-the-strongest-person-i-know?p=46fe6d46 Let’s work together to make a connection! 😊

Not mine, but I'm in (and presenting soon at!) Oh Yes I Can Women in Business, plus I'm in SkoolHers, Women Helping Women Entrepreneurs (HUGE group!), Hey BOSS Ladies... AND the AI-Driven Business Community, and Skool Scale Camp are also for women per their descriptions. To name just a few I'm enjoying! Many more aren't specifically for women.
How I Lost $100,000 In My Community Exit
Now that I've had an exit with my first paid community (back in '21), I've learned the hard way how business buyers think about our businesses. If I'd understood how buyers look at communities back then, I could have gotten $100,000 more in my sale. Yes, it burns. And I'm here to help other founders avoid my mistake! Right after I sold, the buyer fired about half my staff. Eliminated what I thought were vital member services, including our job board and our weekend helpdesk hours. At first, I was furious. Now, I get it. To them, a business isn't their baby. They're not up nights worrying about the members' success. It's all dollars and cents to them! They looked at my business... and then they bought it. Because it was a valuable asset. Then, they made it MORE PROFITABLE. Because they're just in business to maximize profits. That's how they get the money to buy the next business. The painful part? If *I* had done that cost-cutting before I sold, I could have had a more profitable business. That's what your sale price is based on -- net profits. NOT gross revenue (which everyone talks about endlessly here on Skool!). Not only would I have had a higher sale price in my exit... I also could have taken home more cash every year, for many years before I sold, by trimming the extras. What could you cut in your business that would bring focus and make you more profitable? Want to talk with me about ALL the things buyers look for? I'm currently doing FREE calls for $10K+ MRR Skool owners (but not for much longer)! Not quite there yet? Come on down to Community Growth Academy and check out my course, Built to Sell. I unpack everything buyers look for in an acquisition and all my hard lessons learned!

@Joel Harris I know, this 'like' on Skool needs more options, right?
If you run a Skool group, where is it stuck?
Here's my question for you. If you already run a Skool group, where is it stuck? Are you still building out a full classroom before you open the doors? Did you launch but you're the only one posting? Have members joined, then drifted off without participating and you don't know why? I could go on… I ask because I've watched a lot of women get stuck at one of those spots, and I know how frustrating and isolating it feels. These are normal places to get hung up, so let’s talk about it to start getting you unstuck. Jump in the comments and tell me where you are. Pick the one that you’re really frustrated about and let’s try and figure it out together. I'll reply to every comment, and if I've got something useful for you, I’ll share it here. No DMs, and definitely no “do you want to jump on a call?” (I really don’t want to jump on any calls, sorry 😬) https://www.skool.com/skoolhers/about

Hi @Karen Castillo - I am also mentoring many people in my community who seem to pop open the doors with no audience, no game plan, they have 8 members and those people are quitting because the community doesn't have enough peer engagement to feel alive. Wonder if we should organize a summit around this? Fix Your Empty Community, something like that? When I started my first community in '11, creating digital community was complicated and costly. So few people did it, barrier to entry was formidable, and you were sure to build an audience and get engagement and excitement building before launch day. Now that you can be up for $9, people seem to be skipping a lot of important steps and then wondering why they're not instantly, magically rich. Community is not like running an Etsy store... you need critical mass, ideally off the bat. It kind of makes me nuts -- just had another new member in my community TODAY saying she is almost ready to launch... because she's filled the pages in Skool and paid. No audience, no launch plan.
How to think like a buyer – and earn more in your community
Learn to build a community you can sell for a lucrative exit! I did it in '21, after growing my first paid community to 1500 members. Now, I teach other founders how to think like a business buyer, prep for sale, and get top dollar in their community sale. What's inside my Community Growth Academy? Currently, we're doing a 90-day More MRR sprint (that you can spy on, as a Premium member!) 🤝 BUILT TO SELL - step-by-step course on making your community salable 🚀 Proven 7-Step Launch + 1st Month + Year Course ✅ Worksheets, scripts & cheat sheets 💡 Marketing trainings And so much more!
