BIZ TALK: "Confidence Doesn't Come First... Evidence Does."
TOMORROW!!! JOIN US , WEDNESDAY, JULY 15, 10AM PST. TOMORROW!!! LINK TO CALL: https://www.skool.com/live/xBHytwChwTt 🎬 LIVE WORKSHOP: The Evidence Gap with Chris Dyer!!! Stop Waiting for Confidence. Start Creating Proof of Who You Can Become. As writers and creatives, we spend a lot of time learning about structure, character, dialogue, and story. But what if the biggest obstacle to finishing your screenplay... isn't your screenplay? What if it's the story you're telling yourself? In this interactive workshop, we'll explore the psychology behind why so many talented creatives stay stuck—even when they know exactly what they should be doing. We'll cover topics like: - Why confidence often comes after action, not before it. - The hidden bargain we make every time we avoid discomfort. - The difference between a limiting belief and an uncomfortable truth. - Why your brain may be collecting evidence that reinforces the identity you don't want. - How to rewrite the story you're telling yourself. - Why writers and creators bring more value to the entertainment ecosystem than they often realize. - A practical framework you can use immediately to overcome fear, procrastination, perfectionism, and self-doubt. This isn't a motivational pep talk. It's a practical mindset workshop grounded in psychology, creativity, and real-world experience, designed specifically for writers and creatives. You'll leave with a simple challenge you can put into action within 24 hours—one that can begin changing the evidence you're creating about yourself and your creative career. If you've ever thought: "I'm not ready." "I'm not good enough." "I just need a little more confidence..." ...this workshop is for you. I hope you'll join me! Join us! WEDNESDAY, JULY 15, 10AM PST. VIDEO: Our FIRST PITCHING PRACTICE SESSION Was a Success!
Hats off to @Jacob Schwartz @Maria Piscione @Sandra Hildreth and @Ameer Ahmed for stepping up to be our first members to practice their pitch at this inaugural pitching session. We did exactly what we set out to do, which was to start feeling more comfortable talking about our projects. There was great feedback and conversation from everyone, which brought helpful suggestions and insights into what it really takes to pitch naturally and successfully. This one ran two hours long, so I am going to probably cut the number of pitchers for each session just so we can continue to get some good discussion and feedback in. I imagine these pitches will only get faster and better as we all get more practice in. THANK YOU to all who attended. I'm also always grateful for @Chris Dyer for always showing up, supporting and for sharing his interesting stories and knowledge. This community continues to show up and share with heart, generosity, and kindness. So grateful for these opportunities to connect from The Forge Community and our fearless leader @David Stem

@Anna Fermin Great session and thank you for the kind words. I love these talks and this community. Can't wait for the next one!!!
"Play ball practice your pitch" was GNARLY SWAG!
You all should definitely get your faces in there for the next one. @Anna Fermin thank you for hosting us and @Chris Dyer was droppin' gems again all throughout. I might have even said a few words too :D (a lot, I said a lot.) Matter of fact I might need to shut up more sometimes because we all ended up going for a whole 2 hours instead of 1! So worth it though, one of the best times of my life no exaggerating. Trial run. Everybody was on their game. Feel the strength growing for sure. (P.S. I think this might be my first actual solo posting post here in Writer's Forge general discussion so hi y'all :D. More introductions coming soon I imagine. Slowly but surely...)

Quick poll: What’s your biggest AI struggle right now?
I’m preparing today's session on using AI to speed up your creative process. I want to make sure I focus on what would actually help this group. So here is poll, What’s the biggest place AI feels unclear, frustrating, or underused for you right now? Comment if your biggest issue isn’t listed — I may use examples from the comments in the session.

My biggest question of using AI in filmmaking, especially animation is IP/copyright ownership/protection of what is created using the AI.
